Jersey Shore: Ronnie's Latest Clickbait Lies About His Own Death

In his latest clickbait post, Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz Magro lied about his own death. Ronnie posted a photo of himself in black and white to Instagram on Thursday. The caption for the post implied that Ronnie had passed away. It also directed fans to click the link in Ronnie's bio, which ultimately led to a completely different article.

For the past few months, Ronnie has been posting numerous clickbait articles to his social media accounts. Many of the posts had led fans to believe different things regarding Ronnie's real life. Some of his posts have included fake stories about his engagement to Saffire Matos, as well as a fake pregnancy for the couple. He even posted a clickbait article about Angelina Pivarnick's recent divorce rumors. While clickbait is nothing new for Ronnie, he may have just taken it too far.

Ronnie shared yet another fake story to Instagram on Thursday which implied he, himself, had died. He posted a photo of himself, which was edited with a black and white filter. In the caption, Ronnie wrote, "RIP" before continuing, "to confirm HE DIED." He then concluded the post with the hashtag "#LinkinBio." Ronnie shared nearly the same exact post to his Instagram story while also including a "Swipe Up" option. Upon swiping up on his story or clicking the link found in his Instagram bio, fans were led to a clickbait article about celebrities who have passed away in 2021. Ronnie, obviously, was not a part of the story.

Fans have had enough of Ronnie's clickbait articles. In fact, many agreed that this one actually took it too far. Reddit users jokingly compared it to when little kids dramatically fake their death for attention. One user wrote, "Talk about selling your soul to the devil. I hope he called his Mom first to tell her this was coming." Others speculated that Ronnie does not even run his own social media accounts; therefore, he most likely does not know this was posted to his account. On the other hand, there is a possibility Ronnie actually shared the fake article himself. Another user speculated that Ronnie could be making around $14,000 per clickbait post. While this may seem like a large sum of money to most, this is significantly less than what Ronnie was once making on the show.

Similar to that of his past clickbait posts, Ronnie disabled the comments feature on this most recent post. The spike in sharing of clickbait articles began after Ronnie announced he would be stepping away from filming for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Many fans believe that he is sharing these fake articles in order to make some type of income. Being one of the only Jersey Shore cast members without any side hustles outside of the show, fans are wondering if Ronnie is actually going broke without his once hefty paycheck.
