KUWTK: Khloe Kardashian Confirms She Wasn't 'Banned' From The Met Gala

Khloé Kardashian is shutting down rumors that she was the only Keeping Up With The Kardashians star that was "banned" from attending this year's Met Gala. The 37-year-old mother was noticeably missing from this year's fashion extravaganza as Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kris Jenner were all in attendance. Kylie Jenner was originally planning on not only attending the highly anticipated carpet but also using the moment to debut her second pregnancy. Unfortunately, the soon-to-be mother of two just wasn't up for it and preferred to stay home and relax. As for Kourtney Kardashian, she could have used the night to make her Met Gala debut alongside her boyfriend, Travis Barker, but they opted to enjoy an intimate dinner together instead since the red carpet was the day after they appeared at the MTV VMAs.

While the Kardashian-Jenner clan is always dressed to impress at the annual Met Gala, Kim's get-up took the cake this year. The 40-year-old reality star was dressed in an all-black Balenciaga outfit that included a face covering, body-hugging T-shirt dress, catsuit, and jersey boots. Kim arrived on the carpet alongside another man dressed in a similar risqué fashion. Despite fans' belief that the man behind the mask could be Kanye West, it was confirmed that the man's identity was none other than designer Demna Gvasalia, who is the creative director of Balenciaga. Sharing more behind-the-scenes photographs of her fashion moment in the days following the gala, Kim explained that her polarizing look matched the American theme because nothing is more on-brand than a t-shirt from head to toe. Since Khloé is the only Kardashian sister who wasn't accounted for at the fashion world's biggest annual event, there was a lot of speculation that the reality star could have been banned from attending the Met Gala.

In an attempt to find out the truth, a Twitter used asked Khloé, "Now that you are online please tell [if] the met gala rumors are true. Please clarify thank u." Though they didn't specify the rumors, it seems as though the rumors already reached Khloé, so she knew exactly what the fan was referring to. "Absolutely NOT true," the Good American co-founder replied.

Digging deeper into the strange allegations, it was discovered that Khloé has actually never attended the star-studded benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. Though the event typically takes place the first Monday in May and features a guest list curated by Vogue's Anna Winter, it took place on September 13 this year due to the ongoing pandemic. Furthermore, guests were required to prove their vaccination status in order to attend. That said, Khloé still supported her fashionable sisters who were in attendance this year.

Like Khloé, Kourtney has also yet to make her debut at the Met Gala. Though there isn't any insight into the duo's annual invitations, they're both busy moms who might have other responsibilities as priorities. That said, if for whatever reason Anna decided to invite the entire Keeping Up With The Kardashians crew sans Khloé, there's no reason the Artistic Director would ban one of the most famous and classy reality stars on the planet.
