How to Get the Ulfberht Sword Egbert in the Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Siege of Paris DLC

The Ulfberht Sword is one of the newest weapons introduced in the Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Siege of Paris DLC. This guide will show players how they can unlock the Ulfberht Sword. The Siege of Paris DLC is the second expansion to release for Valhalla. This time, it will bring the player over to West Francia where they will need to deal with Charles the Fat's overwhelming forces.

This DLC comes with a new area to explore, an extended level cap for additional skills and abilities, and a slew of new gear to collect. A recent update also adds Ezio Auditore's iconic robes to collect. One of the newest weapons is the new Ulfberht Sword, and this guide will show players how they can obtain it.

The Ulfberht Sword is one of the new single-handed weapons available in the game. This allows for players to either use a shield or even another single-handed weapon to dual-wield. Fortunately, players can collect this weapon fairly early once they start the Siege of Paris DLC. After arriving in West Francia, players will need to solve a mystery. There's no need to progress through the DLC's main story just yet. Players can tackle this task the moment they land in this new area to begin the search for the sword.

Players will need to head over to the Melunois region to Pruvinis, which is a heavily guarded fort to the west of the river. The icon on the map will display gold bars to show that it is indeed the correct location. Players will need to sneak inside the fort by climbing from the southernmost wall.

There will be a group of enemies here that players can eliminate or leave alone. They should head nearby the tower to find a soldier holding a key. Players can then use a rope and Odin's Sight to find a blue cloth with a clue. This will reveal the location of the Ulfberht Sword.

Players should move to that location to find a lone man who has killed his partner to keep the sword for himself. Players can then request the sword if their Charisma is high enough, purchase the sword for 3,000 silver, or fight to the death to claim it. From experience, giving up the silver is the easiest way to get the Ulfberht Sword, since it allows for the least amount of error. The NPC can be pretty difficult to defeat.

Once players complete one of these three methods, the Ulfberht Sword will belong to Eivor. More single-handle blades will likely be introduced as part of Assassin's Creed Valhalla's 2022 roadmap, but this is a good option for players to have in their arsenal during the main story of the Siege of Paris DLC.
