Gilmore Girls: 10 Of The Nicest Things Logan Ever Did

Logan Huntzberger can be polarizing on Gilmore GirlsOn the one hand, he's a charmer from the same world as Emily and Richard, so Lorelai is full of nerves when Rory begins dating him. On the other hand, he genuinely loves Rory and wants the best for her, and he tries his best to cheer her up or help her out when she needs him.

While Logan makes many mistakes on Gilmore Girls, including cheating on his fiance Odette in the Netflix revival A Year In The Life, he does show that he is a kind person with lots of care, compassion and respect for Rory.

10 Helping Rory Try Something Totally New

Rory's sweet actions on Gilmore Girls stand out, and so do the moments when she rebels from her "good girl" persona and tries something new. In this case, it's all thanks to Logan that she leaves her comfort zone and builds more confidence.

The season 5 episode "You Jump, I Jump, Jack" sees Logan and Rory going away for the weekend for a Life and Death Brigade event. Logan lets Rory see what this group is like, and while she's definitely not going to join anytime soon, she starts thinking about life beyond the box that she lives in.

9 Lending Rory His Car To Help Lorelai

Logan is super sweet in the season 5 episode "Say Something." While fans aren't sure about him at first, as Rory seems to be interested in him but he keeps flirting with other people, she tells him that Lorelai is heartbroken over Luke and he says that his driver can help her get home to see her mom.

While Logan's behavior isn't flawless all the time, this is one of his shining moments. It would be easy for him to brush Rory off and go back to the party, but he wants to be there for her, and it's an early sign that he cares about her and will be there for her when it counts.

8 Making It Clear That He Will Commit To Rory

As season 5 starts to draw to a close, Rory thinks that Logan wants to just have and date around. She tells him that anything less than a real relationship just isn't for her, and he says that they should be in a committed romance.

This is one of the sweetest things that Logan does as he makes it very clear that he wants to be exclusive with Rory. While he can be charming and rely on his good looks, he makes her feel comfortable and she can tell that he means it. Even if every viewer doesn't always agree with his actions, he does set Rory's mind at ease.

7 Calling Rory After The Awkward Family Dinner

The season 5 episode "But I'm A Gilmore!" is dramatic and upsetting, as the Huntzbergers treat Rory badly and say that she's not good enough for them. Logan's behavior is bad here and while he tells Rory that they're leaving immediately, he wants to be alone as soon as they're back at Yale.

While Logan should have more to say to Rory, once he cools off he calls her and apologizes, wanting to spend time with her. This doesn't excuse his immature actions, but it does prove that he is trying to make up for it. Logan wants to help Rory feel better, which is sweet.

6 Being A Good Sport About Friday Night Dinner

The best Gilmore Girls Friday Night Dinner scenes always bring up a whole host of emotions. Sometimes they're entertaining and hilarious, like when Lorelai jokes about pudding or Richard keeps phoning people at odd hours so he can brag about Rory. Other times they're awkward and difficult.

When Rory tells Logan that Emily wants to invite him over for dinner, he's a great sport about it, understanding that it means a lot to Rory and her family. He doesn't like stiff, formal events and yet he doesn't complain, which is kind and caring.

5 Taking Rory To New York

Season 6 carries the sadness of Rory and Lorelai not talking, but Logan tries to cheer Rory up in the episode "Always A Godmother, Never A God."

Logan suggests that he and Rory go to New York City, which is not only super exciting for Rory as she hasn't always gotten the chance to travel as much as she wants, but it's a trip that comes at a perfect time. Rory is shocked when Logan says that they'll travel by helicopter, and she agrees to go along with the plan and have some fun. Logan always looks out for Rory and wants them to have a great time together.

4 Sending Rory A Sweet Yet Confusing Present

When debating Rory and Logan's Gilmore Girls relationship, the fact that he moves to London but they remain in love feels significant. In a funny yet sweet scene, Rory receives a gift from Logan: a rocket.

While Rory is unsure what this gift represents, and she even does some Internet research and still comes up without any good answers, it's nice that Logan is thinking about her. A long-distance relationship is always tricky but Logan always shows that she's on his mind and he's putting in the effort.

3 Going To The Hospital To See Richard

Richard's health problems in season 7 are devastating as he was hospitalized in season 1 and now he's back in the same situation.

One of Logan's sweetest actions on the entire series is when he comes to the hospital. He really shows up for Rory and her family, which is a big deal since Lorelai has been really worried and uncertain about his place in her daughter's life. In Lorelai's eyes, Logan is attractive but too privileged to treat Rory well, and she doesn't see things working out in the long run. Rory can feel proud of being with Logan here as he does the right thing.

2 Buys Rory A Plane Ticket So She Can See Him

Fan reaction to season 7 of Gilmore Girls is interesting, as some viewers like several aspects of these last episodes and others don't enjoy much at all.

While Rory is upset that Logan wants her to see him during the winter holidays, as she assumed that she could see him during the summer, it's still nice that he buys her a plane ticket. He knows that it would likely be very pricey for her to buy the tickets herself, especially since Christmas is a popular time of year to fly.

1 Letting Rory Know That A Crush Is No Big Deal

There are several signs that Rory and Logan's love story might not have a happy ending, as Rory has more ambition than him and she's destined for big things in the journalism world, at least before the events of A Year In The Life make fans wonder what will happen to her career.

In the final season, Rory has a crush on the teacher who fills in for Richard, and she tells Logan as if it's a horrible secret. He says that it's truly fine and they share that they still love each other a lot. Logan is very mature about this situation.
