KUWTK: Travis Barker Debuts Diamond Dental Work & Kourtney Approves
Travis Barker just blinged out his smile with an $8,000 diamond skull veneer, and his Keeping Up With The Kardashians girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian reportedly "thinks it's hot." The 42-year-old Poosh founder has been showcasing her edgier styles since she started dating the Blink-182 drummer. Just two months ago, Kourtney even debuted a set of diamond-studded vampire fangs of her own in a series of Instagram selfies captioned with a vampire emoji. It seems Travis also approved of his girlfriend's gleaming teeth, as he commented with an emoji of a vampire depicting a drop of blood, and soon after posted a photo of himself and his French bulldog captioned, "Dogs never bite me. Just humans."
Days before the Blink-182 drummer debuted his new smile, the duo were seen enjoying some quality time together at the Rosewood Miramar Beach resort in Montecito, California. According to eye witnesses, Kourtney and Travis were hanging out in the patio area near a wedding. Before that, the couple sparked engagement rumors when Kourtney shared a photo with a huge diamond on her ring finger. Travis and Kourtney's whirlwind romance began in early January 2021 when they both shared Instagram photos at Kris Jenner's Palm Springs home, and they seem to be going stronger than ever.
Travis went to "the father of diamond dentistry," Dr. Thomas Connelly, DDS, a few months ago and "wanted something people hadn't done before." The dentist has previously worked with several celebrities and athletes such as Post Malone, Shaq, and Odell Beckham Jr. to create custom blinged-out smiles. Connelly explained to E! News the process in which they refined the permanent platinum and diamond design so that it could be "built into a porcelain crown." Now that the blingy upgrade is complete, Connelly added that Travis "wants to do something else. He's thinking about it. He loves it."
Connelly later debuted his work on Travis' smile to the public on Instagram, captioning the photos, "Maybe the coolest dude on earth @travisbarker and I actually made him cooler with this skull." While the first black-and-white photo showcased Travis' pearly whites and excitement for his new bling, the second photo was a close-up of the veneer before it went into Travis' mouth so followers could see the design in fine detail. Turns out, Blink-182 fans agree with his girlfriend in the comments that the new bling makes the drummer look cooler.
It was a matter of time before Travis got some bling in his mouth like his Keeping Up With The Kardashians girlfriend. Though the rockstar has yet to debut his makeover to his 4.7 million Instagram followers, the details in the diamond skull are pretty insane. With seamless installation and such positive feedback, it looks like the rockstar put his $8,000 to good use.
