Bollywood: 90 Day Fiance: Leida & Eric Blast ‘Trashy’ Franchise With Throwback Photo

Many 90 Day Fiancé stars are happy with the exposure they gain from being on the show and have praised the franchise, but one season 6 couple recently slammed the franchise and its fans. Leida Margaretha and Eric Rosenbrook are not a popular couple among viewers, though they’ve made it clear that the notoriety doesn’t bother them. Leida’s latest Instagram post demonstrates that she and her husband’s experience with the franchise and fandom has not been positive.

Leida came from a wealthy family in Indonesia, and after she moved to the U.S. with her son, she was immediately dismayed by the major downgrade to her lifestyle. Though Eric was happy to see her, Leida started making demands, including pressuring Eric to kick his daughter out of their apartment and stop paying child support. Leida’s unreasonable expectations and spoiled attitude made her one of the least liked franchise cast member. Despite all odds, Leida and Eric are still together, though that hasn’t improved their popularity any.

In her latest Instagram post, Leida shared a BTS photo from when she and Eric were filming the show. “During the promotion shoot of that trashy show...Before we knew we would become the ‘most hated,’” Leida captioned the photo, complete with a laughing emoji and the hashtags “HAHA” and “LOVE.” After season 6, Leida and Eric quickly discovered that their storyline didn’t go over well with fans, though based on the post, Leida has a sense of humor about it.

Though Leida and Eric are regularly dragged by fans online, the new Instagram post had largely supportive comments, but it’s possible that Leida has limited the comments. “Not everyone believes what they see in tv...especially when it’s only 20 minutes of your lives,” a fan said, and Leida sarcastically replied, “story of my life.” This isn’t the first time a 90 Day Fiancé couple has expressed a salty attitude towards the franchise—season 7 star Michael Jessen also called the franchise “trashy.”

Many 90 Day Fiancé fans can’t stand Leida and Eric, though it’s far from a unanimous opinion. Still, despite having support from some fans, Leida and Eric seem to be done with the franchise. The couple barely references the show and have expressed no desire to appear on one of the franchise’s many spin-offs. They appear to be perfectly happy out of the spotlight, and have developed much-needed thick skin to deal with backlash from their critics.
