Streamer TimTheTatman Signs With Complexity Gaming | Screen Rant

During a YouTube livestream, streamer Tim "TimTheTatman" Betar announced he has joined esports organization Complexity Gaming. As the industry of esports continues to build wide a variety of companies and individual personalities like YouTube Gaming streamer TimTheTatman, esports companies look to recruit popular streamers and other gamers to bring audience awareness to their brands.

Complexity Gaming is an esports company based out of Texas, and has made its name in various esports competitions. During a celebratory Call of Duty: Warzone stream, TimTheTatman announced that he has joined  Complexity Gaming as a content creator. While he hasn’t signed onto a specific team, TimTheTatman has struck a deal that will allow for official merchandise and marketing to promote both him and the company at large. This is a potentially major deal for Complexity, as TimTheTatman’s eighteen million followers on social media will now be directing their attention to the organization's brand.

Streamers like TimTheTatman, who bring large audiences to this thriving industry, help esports gain more notoriety and popularity among worldwide audiences, to the point where esports may soon be an Olympic sport. The deal could prove mutually beneficial, as TimTheTatman will also now be brought to the attention of Complexity Gaming’s fanbase. In streaming, where audience size and engagement are direct measurements of success, a partnership like this could bolsters both his and the company’s respective profiles. TimTheTatman comes to the table with plenty of his own esports experience, so even without joining a team, his name on the Complexity Gaming roster could be a bonus in the public eye.

As gaming companies find more ways to promote and develop esports (including Sony’s recent patent on esports betting), signing players like TimTheTatman proves to be one of the more dependable strategies. It remains to be seen if this addition to Complexity Gaming’s roster will have a wider impact on the esports community as a whole, potentially giving esports even more worldwide attention.
