Maybe her insults weren't actually as harsh as they came off on the show. In a recent interview, Victoria "Queen" Larson has claimed that her insults towards the other women on The Bachelor were "all in good fun." Fans have been both shocked and disappointed in the amount of bullying that has taken place during Matt James' season so far. There has been a common factor behind every insult, fight, or altercation: "Queen" Victoria.
The Bachelor is officially one month into the 25th season of the show and it has been anything but dull. From the first night, these ladies were ready to fight for Matt's heart no matter what it took. Of all of the ladies still competing for Matt, Victoria "Queen" Larson sticks out from them all. The self-proclaimed queen is not afraid to speak her mind, no matter how mean her words may be. On the most recent episode, Victoria was shut down by Katie Thurston after she continued to insult former contestant Sarah Trott. While Victoria did not appreciate Katie's dismissal of her opinion, even expecting an apology from her, fans praised Katie for giving Victoria a taste of her own medicine. Fans are patiently awaiting Victoria's exit from the show.
The queen is in the spotlight yet again. In a recent interview with Good Morning America, Victoria "Queen" Larson dismissed her prior insults to the other ladies on the show as if it was not a big deal. Victoria appeared on the morning talk show on Tuesday, the morning after yet another drama-filled episode of The Bachelor. In the interview, Victoria reflected on "snatching the crown" off new contestant Catalina's head upon her arrival to the resort. She described the altercation as "not [her] best moment." However, Victoria went on to explain that it was all meant to be done in "good fun." Victoria did not seem to have any regrets for the things she had said on the show to the other ladies, even the name-calling. She claimed that everyone knew who she truly is. She assured fans that she would "never have ill intent." Because of this, her fellow contestants took her insults differently than they were portrayed on television since they knew her better.
Victoria went on to yet again emphasize that it was "all in good fun"; however she did in fact apologize if anything she may have done or said hurt someone without her knowledge. Victoria assured viewers she will work on herself and make an effort "to do better" as well as "hold [her]self accountable." She really pushed to make it clear that she is in fact "not a bully," despite the way she may be portrayed on the show. Victoria was actually surprised by the negative backlash she has received from the show. Going into it, she actually thought she was going to "be well received." Instead, Victoria has been continually bullied online, even getting numerous death threats from viewers. This only got worse when her past mugshot resurfaced late last week. At first, Victoria felt "liberated" by the news break; however, fans looked at it differently.
Maybe there really is a good person under that crown. There always has to be a villain on The Bachelor and Victoria seems to be just that this season.
The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8pm EST on ABC.
