Real estate experiences ‘busy closeout’ to end of summer

REA Group Senior Economist Eleanor Creagh says real estate has experienced a “busy closeout” to the end of summer. Ms Creagh joined Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood to discuss the latest developments with the real estate market. “We know that auction volumes in 2024 so far are consistently higher than they were the same time last year,” she said. “But despite that uptick in choice for buyers, we’re still seeing that auction clearance rates are pretty robust, they’re sitting pretty solid. “So, again speaking to that strong housing demand environment whereby I think people are looking to rate cuts at the end of the year.” In partnership with realestate.com.au
