The 2010s are barely over but there seems to be enough distance now that the extra-long year of 2020 is done. It can be hard to look back on the movies of that decade that still seem so new yet have already made their stamp in cinema history. But the movies from the last decade that will really stand the test of time are the ones audiences keep watching again and again.

While there are some powerful and critically acclaimed movies of the 2010s, not all of them are worth rewatching. It is a special movie that is able to deliver the same entertainment whether it's a first-time time watch or a revisit.

10 Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011)

Harry Potter is one of the most popular movie franchises of all time so it makes sense that the final chapter in the saga is so beloved by fans. A decade in the making, the eighth movie in the series told the epic battle between the students of Hogwarts and the forces of Voldemort.

Some fans may prefer other entries, and some may have issues with the finale, but this is still the movie that packs the biggest punch and has the most rewatch value. It is a massive and magical journey that brings an emotional end and allows fans to say goodbye to these cherished characters.

9 The Nice Guys (2016)

Though it may not have been a big hit at the time, The Nice Guys has gradually built a reputation as one of the funniest movies of the 2010s. From action filmmaker, this '70s-set crime comedy stars Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling as a pair of detectives forced to team up to solve a missing person case.

The crime at the center of the story is probably the least interesting aspect of the movie. The reason people keep coming back to the movie is its dark comedy, genre subversions, and the amazing chemistry between Crowe and Gosling.

8 Knives Out (2019)

Though not everyone was a fan of Rian Johnson's take on Star Wars, the versatile filmmaker rebounded with one of the most purely enjoyable movies of the last decade. Knives Out is an ensemble movie telling a classic murder mystery being investigated by a famed and eccentric detective (Daniel Craig).

Johnson's love for this genre is apparent and it helps him to play around with the genre in some brilliant ways. The movie is also laugh-out-loud hilarious and is filled with colorful characters. It is the kind of movie that allows the audience to pick up new clues with each rewatch.

7 The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)

Wes Anderson can sometimes be criticized for making movies that have the same feel. However, it feels like his style was meant for a movie like The Grand Budapest Hotel. This magical and sprawling story follows a dedicated hotel concierge who is caught up in a murder plot.

The movie is worth rewatching just for the beauty of it, but it is also Anderson's most entertaining movie. Ralph Fiennes gives a hilarious and charming performance in the lead role and Anderson mixes a sense of comedy and beauty in such a unique way.

6 Scott Pilgrim Vs The World (2010)

Though the world never got to see Edgard Wright's Ant-Man, at least he delivered a comic book movie that explodes with his signature energy. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World tells the story of a young Canadian man who is forced to battle his new girlfriend's evil exes in order to be with her.

Like most of Wright's movies, this wild action-comedy is filled with so many gags, one-liners, and Easter eggs that it remains entertaining long after one's first viewing. It is the perfect and unexpected mix of video games and romantic-comedies.

5 This Is The End (2013)

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg made their directorial debut with the comedy This Is the End, and they certainly didn't hold back with their freshman effort. Starring various comedic actors as versions of themselves, this R-rated comedy follows a group of celebrities trying to survive the apocalypse.

Though the supernatural premise might be attention-grabbing, the real reason to rewatch this movie, again and again, is for the outrageous comedy between the main characters. Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and others poke fun at themselves and their careers for the audience's amusement.

4 Get Out (2017)

It is rare for a horror movie to be rewatchable as the viewer knows where all the scares are. But the brilliance of Get Out goes far beyond making the audience jump. It is the engrossing and thought-provoking directorial debut from Jordan Peele about a Black man visiting his white girlfriend's family.

The movie's comments on modern racism are fascinating as is the gradual reveal of the terrifying truth. But the way Peele builds to those moments, the clues given along the way, and the unexpected funniness makes it so enjoyable to revisit.

3 Thor: Ragnarok (2012)

It is quite difficult to narrow the MCU movies of the last decade down to one that is the most rewatchable, but Taika Waititi's Thor Ragnarok rises above the rest. There were movies that were more impactful to the MCU, but likely not any as feel-good as this one.

Waititi reinvented the Thor franchise with his own brand of humor and allowed Chris Hemsworth to really start having fun with the character. The result is a hilarious and wild intergalactic adventure that leaves a smile on the face of its audience.

2 Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse (2018)

Given how many Spider-Man movies there have been in the 21st century, few could have anticipated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse would be the best of them all as well as one of the best superhero movies of all time.

This beautifully animated adventure gives the character of Miles Morales the chance to step into the spotlight. He makes for a wonderful new take on Spider-Man who is easy to invest in while the movie entertains with spectacular set-pieces and hilarious comedy.

1 Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

After 30 years, George Miller came back to the Mad Max franchise and made one of the most insane movies of all time. Tom Hardy takes over the role of Max with Charlize Theron creating the even more badass hero of Furiosa in this relentless and brilliant masterpiece.

Fury Road is a movie that must be watched more than once as it is almost too overwhelming at first. But with each new viewing, fans can appreciate the glorious insanity of it all more and more.
