Bollywood: Pokémon Leaker Cryptically Teases Big News In 2022

A series of cryptic tweets suggest that 2022 will be an even more exciting year for Pokémon than 2021. So far, 2022 will see the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus at the start of the year, but more Pokémon titles being announced for the rest of the year is always possible.

2021 has already been a fairly active year for Pokémon, with the upcoming release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. 2021 is also the 25th anniversary of Pokémon, which has been celebrated and promoted in various ways. This includes a Pokémon 25 album featuring Katy Perry. The release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus on January 28th, 2022 already promises something for fans of the iconic franchise to look forward to when 2022 arrives.

But the possibly of even more content in 2022 is an exciting prospect for fans. Pokémon leaker CentroLeaks claims on Twitter that 2022 will be even more exciting than 2021 for Pokémon fans, assuming nothing gets delayed. Following this, they released two very cryptic tweets, one with a series of emoticons, and another with the phrases SE, P.DP, and D22. In response to a reply asking to be more specific about what they mean, CentroLeaks claimed that they’re not allowed to elaborate out of respect for the source.

The meaning of these phrases and emoticons are widely speculated in the replies to these tweets. Some replies speculate that the emojis could mean new forms or evolutions for certain Pokémon, with some fans believing that the fist paired with the image of a baby could mean Tyrogue, the kimono and ghost could mean Froslass, and the moon and butterfly could indicate a butterfly or moth Pokémon like Butterfree or Dustox. For the symbols, some replies believe the P.DP could be related to Pokémon Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl, or possibly primal Dialga and Palkia, and that D22 could mean December 22nd.

There is only so much speculation that can be done, though, on these extremely cryptic riddles. There’s no definitive proof that these hints are real at all, and all leaks should always be taken with a grain of salt regardless. But time will tell if these hints will turn out to be connected to new Pokémon games in 2022, and if D22 does mean December 22nd, fans might want to mark their calendars for that date just in case a trailer drops on that day. Though there might not be any reveals on that date in 2021 or on December 22nd, 2022, if Pokémon were to release even more games than Pokémon Legends: Arceus in 2022, it would make that year a year to remember for Pokémon fans.
