Darren Star has many fan expectations to live up to in the upcoming season of Emily In Paris.

7 Emily And Camille

By far one of the most popular ships, audiences loved to see the two besties together and thought that they had the potential to become lovers. In fact, the show itself had set it up with the accidental kiss that Emily and Camille (one of the best characters of Emily in Paris) had shared when they first met near the flower shop. Ummwhothischick on Reddit said "I would really love to see Camille and Emily together because when they accidentally kissed Emily and said I'm sorry and Camille said I'm not, which has been stuck in my head since over a year. I still hope the text from Camille as a cliffhanger should be about Camille expressing her feelings towards Emily..."

One can't help but agree since both the women have a flirtatious energy, and many fans think that they would be a much better couple without Gabriel around. However, after Emily sleeping with Gabriel in the finale, Camille may not have the best feelings for her.

6 Emily And Doug

After Emily broke up with her boyfriend from Chicago, nobody ever really thought of him ever again, except Redditors, of course. OverzealousCamel has a theory for season 2, where Doug returns to win Emily back, but she rejects him as she's with Gabriel. Doug then unknowingly runs into Camille which makes Emily jealous and then she takes Doug back. They said "My prediction is le boyfriend from season one will magically show up and try to reclaim Emily’s love after realizing he made a mistake."

This is an interesting take, since many fans on Reddit were questioning the plot hole that was Doug in Emily In Paris, and if he does come back the show may get more interesting too.

5 Gabriel, Emily, And Camille

A polyamorous relationship on Emily In Paris would be quite refreshing, and might even help end the tensions built up by the romantic feelings between Emily and Gabriel and Emily and Camille. Some Redditors like Hoffschloss thought that the accidental kiss and all the time that the three spent together was building up to the throuple "I always thought that after that incident it was going to lead to Emily, Camille and Gabriel having a threesome. Maybe they are saving that for the second season."

Even DravenPrime thought it would happen in the first season. They said "Same, I remember when they said they wanted to talk to her that's what I thought they were going to ask her. Oh well..." 4 Sylvie And Antoine

Since the show was set in Paris, the notion that mistresses and open marriages were quite common was pushed around often during the episodes. Sylvie and Antoine shared an intimate relationship despite being professionally in touch with each other, which would be frowned upon otherwise, but some fans said that the relationship made them flawed, like humans usually are.

Antoine's dynamic with Emily was a complex one, and one couldn't quite point a finger towards whether he was interested in her sexually, or just interested in her life as a whole. He bought Gabriel's restaurant to help Emily's love life out, but also gifted her sexy lingerie, which confused viewers, but some like neon-clouds loved the ship "Personally, I loved her her flirtation with Antoine. Perhaps I’m biased towards a hot older guy but before we knew he was married I loooved that for Emily."

The forbidden nature of the romance between Emily and Antoine is exciting for lots of fans, especially since Antoine's wife basically gave her permission to become Antoine's mistress when she met her.

2 Mathieu And Emily

There are plenty of things that don't make sense about Emily In Paris, but Pierre Cadault's nephew and Emily make perfect sense to many fans. The genteel Mathieu was respectful and also interested in Emily, like most men in the show were. Mathieu was mature and romantic, and much more distinguished than all her other suitors. He treated Emily with respect, so a healthy relationship on the show would make for a good watch.

1 Gabriel And Emily

The most obvious pairing of all, fans really want the handsome chef and the quirky marketer to get together for real, and not just for a few kisses or a one night stand.
