10 Reality TV Stars Who Ended Up With Their Own Shows

While some reality shows crashed and burned after only one season, others have become successful and popular franchises that are still going strong decades after they first aired. It's astonishing to see how many cities the Real Housewives franchise has, and Bravo is known for many other beloved shows.

On many occasions, famous actors and singers get their own reality show, but sometimes reality TV stars get their own spin-offs. Many people who are familiar to fans of the genre starred on shows about their careers or personal lives, and one former Real Housewife n particular has had several spin-offs.

10 Bethenny Frankel: Bethenny Getting Married, Bethenny Ever After, Bethenny & Fredrik

When Bethenny Frankel starred on RHONY, she was famous for her arguments as she always told it like it was and stood up for herself.

When engaged to her now ex-husband Jason, Bethenny got a spin-off called Bethenny Getting Married. After that, the couple starred in Bethenny Ever After, and many episodes focused on the troubles that the married couple was having. Bethenny's most recent show is Bethenny & Fredrick where she teamed up with Fredrik Eklund to sell real estate. Bethenny has a bold personality and it makes total sense that she would star on so many of her own shows. Fans always want to see more from this reality TV icon.

9 Kim Zolciak: Don't Be Tardy

Kim Zolciak is famous for starring on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and fans recall her tagline about being a gold digger. Kim also got her own spin-off, Don't Be Tardy.

With eight seasons, the series is still going strong and it gives fans as a glimpse into the lives of Kim, her husband Kroy Biermann, and their children. Season 1 was all about the preparation for their wedding day, and after that, the show became more focused on their home and family life. The latest season, which aired in 2020, saw the family going on a road trip.

8 EJ Johnson: EJNYC

Fans of RHONY want similar shows to watch, and EJNYC fits the bill since it takes place in the Big Apple.

Anyone who has seen Rich Kids of Beverly Hills knows EJ Johnson. EJNYC is about the reality star moving to New York City and his life with his #Glamtourage.

The other cast members included EJ's friends Sanaz Panahi, Samaria Smith, and Drew Mac, along with his younger sister Elisa, whom EJ lived with during the filming of the show. EJ and Elisa are the children of basketball star Magic Johnson.

7 Snooki Polizzi And Jenni Farley: Snooki And JWoww

After the success of Jersey Shore, which aired for six seasons from 2009 until 2012, it makes sense that some of the stars would get their own shows.

Snooki and Jenni had a spin-off that lasted for four seasons. They have a great friendship dynamic so it was only a matter of time before they got a show together, and they experienced many big moments in their lives. Season 1 followed the friends moving in together and Snooki's pregnancy, along with a vacation in Cancun. The second season focused on Snooki getting used to motherhood and showed viewers more of Jenni and Roger's relationship. The third season saw the friends preparing for their weddings, and in the last season, they were both pregnant at the same time.

6 Kandi Burruss: The Kandi Factory And Kandi's Wedding

Some reality shows are canceled before a full season and others get just one season. That was the case for The Kandi FactoryRHOA's Kandi Burruss' own spin-off which aired for eight episodes.

On the show, 16 singers competed with each other to make it in the field. Kandi also starred in her spin-off Kandi's Wedding, which focused on her wedding to Todd  Tucker. The drama surrounded whether the couple really could get married and have a lavish big day with only five weeks to get ready.

5 Whitney Port: The City

With the memorable moments on The Hills, it was no wonder that the show led to a spin-off. Whitney Port, whom fans knew from her time working with Lauren Conrad on The Hills, moved to New York City to work in fashion.

The show was a lot of fun, as Whitney dated Jay and dealt with some commitment issues and uncertainty. Whitney was always a relatable reality star, as she made new friends, had conflict with her co-worker Olivia Palermo, and wondered if this was the right place for her.

4 Kendra Wilkinson: Kendra

After starring on the popular reality series The Girls Next Door, which aired for six seasons and let viewers see inside the Playboy Mansion, Kendra got her own reality show that began airing on E! in 2007.

The show lasted for four seasons and followed Kendra and Hank Baskett's marriage. The overall theme of the series was Kendra finding her way as a married woman after living a party girl lifestyle for so long.

3 Tamar Braxton: Tamar & Vince

After starring on Braxton Family Values, Tamar Braxton got her own spin-off show, Tamar & Vince, which focused on her personal life and aired for five seasons. Braxton Family Values had focused on Tamar and her four sisters, along with their mother.

The series covered Tamar's music career and her marriage to Vince Herbert. In season 2, viewers watched her pregnancy journey and saw her become a mother. In the following season, Tamar suffered from pulmonary embolisms.

Tamar went on to star on more reality shows: she was a guest judge on RuPaul's Drag Race and competed in season 21 of Dancing with the Stars. She also won the second season of Celebrity Big Brother.

2 Chrissy Lampkin And Jim Jones: Chrissy & Mr. Jones

After starring on Love & Hip HopNew York, Chrissy Lampkin and Jim Jones were given their own spin-off series, Chrissy & Mr. Jones. It aired for 16 episodes, and the focus was on their work life and relationship.

Although the show didn't make it past two seasons, the stars also appeared in Jim & Chrissy: Vow or Never, which lasted for six episodes.

1 Shep Rose: RelationShep

Fans have watched Shep and his friend group over several seasons of Southern Charm.

Shep was always known as a bachelor, dating around but never settling down, so it makes sense that he starred on his own show, RelationShep. For one season, Shep searched for love, and in the finale, he decided that he wanted to be with Bella Clark. Shep shared he and Bella broke up, but his love life has since been looking up. Viewers of Southern Charm know he has been in a relationship with Taylor Ann Green.
