Bollywood: Journey To The Savage Planet & More Leaving Xbox Game Pass In March 2021

Adventure game Journey to the Savage Planet will leave Xbox Game Pass this month, along with point-and-click adventure title Machinarium, and the action arcade experience HyperDot. Often compared to No Man's Sky, Journey to the Savage Planet entered the Game Pass lineup last year in April, as did the other two aforementioned experiences.

But while three games are set to exit the streaming service this month, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have a whole host of other adventures to sink their teeth into. Prohibition era-set strategy game Empire of Sin just joined the library yesterday for Cloud, console, and PC users, alongside the critically acclaimed RPG Undertale. PC players who subscribe to Game Pass can see what all of hype is about with regards to PlatinumGames' beloved NieR: Automata. Next month will be another big one for the service, thanks to Outriders' day-and-date release on Game Pass.

Upon recently announcing the titles that will join Game Pass' lineup in the very near future, Xbox also unveiled the games that are on track to depart the service later in the month on March 31. According to an Xbox Wire post, the experiences leaving Game Pass include Journey to the Savage Planet (Console), Machinarium (PC), and HyperDot (Console and PC).

Soon to be leaving titles aside, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have been inundated with good news on top of good news in the last couple of weeks. Following the completion of Microsoft's ZeniMax Media acquisition, a total of 20 Bethesda Softworks-published adventure hit the streaming service, including five DOOM titles, four Elder Scrolls games, and three Fallout entries.

Microsoft launched Xbox Game Pass several years ago in June 2017 and has continued to increase the service's value for all subscribers. And, evidently, the value first strategy the company employs has worked wonders. Earlier this year, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced in an earnings call that Game Pass had surpassed a whopping 18 million subscribers. These numbers will undoubtedly climb further as this year carries on, especially when considering the first-party experiences Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S will have available. Halo Infinite inarguably counts as the most notable of such titles, but Xbox executives claim there are a few surprises that remain unannounced.
