90 Day Fiancé: All The Ways Mike Showed He Is Not Ready For Kids

Some of the most popular couples on 90 Day Fiancé are the ones who don’t get their happily ever afters, but are Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva one of them? The on-again-off-again relationship of Mike and Natalie is not just a season eight thing – it started with their previous stint on season seven. After having met through mutual friends, Mike and Natalie were engaged and awaiting her K-1 visa. But many of the 90 Day Fiancé pair’s early fights were centered upon Natalie wanting a baby with Mike. Why was it that Big Mike always said no to Natalie’s demands?

Since the start of season eight, it was easy to see Mike and Natalie’s path to their wedding day was not going to be an easy one. The TLC trailer showed Natalie crying and calling Mike a monster, as their first episode had him looking very uninterested in seeing her in America. Then, a row of episodes with Natalie complaining and whining pushed Mike into admitting he didn’t love her anymore. Things then took another turn when Mike had a change of heart and gave her the ring back. But with the cold feet that coaxed Mike into canceling the wedding last minute, fans remembered how incompatible he was with Natalie from the beginning, especially when it came to the pair agreeing on having children.

Fit and fabulous after a short-lived broken marriage that made him put on 340 pounds, Mike found love in another divorcee, 90 Day Fiancé’s Ukrainian cast member Natalie. Back then, Mike believed opposites attract, especially with Natalie being religious while he believed in aliens, and Natalie being elegant while Mike was an “ogre.” But their “beauty and the beast” storyline saw a speedbump when Mike revealed that, despite him being a family man, just like Natalie, he, at that point, was not able to start one of his own. Mike told the 90 Day Fiancé cameras, but hid from Natalie, that he was facing a financial pinch.

Mike confessed that, while he wanted kids, the process of moving to Sequim from Salinas and buying the 27-acre ancestral property off his father burned a huge hole in his pocket. To top it all, Mike also paid for Natalie’s whole K-1 visa process, which altogether landed him into a debt of $30000. As Natalie gushed that her excuse to move to the USA was to tell her elderly mother she was going to give her grandkids, Mike still came clean to her about not being ready. “I’d love to take it one day at a time, and I’d gotta see how I feel about it,” explained Mike, as he kept his credit card debt under wraps.

But Mike’s worries about Natalie freaking out upon hearing his dilemma came true when she first stayed calm and even accepted to help him pay off his debt after coming to America. Yet, to the 90 Day Fiancé cameras, Natalie explained she would never have agreed to be in a relationship with Mike if she had known about his debt before. With Natalie already feeling old at 35, and also explosively revealing that she dumped her ex-husband because he didn’t give her children, it might be the same reason she’s now separated from Mike. But rumors also suggest Natalie may finally be pregnant while she's staying in Seattle. However, as is the case with all 90 Day Fiancé mysteries, only time, or Instagram, or the Tell-All, will finally tell the truth sometime soon.
