Along with the incredible story, the series features a number of incredible performances from its cast. These actors make up the five main characters at the center of the story, their loved ones, and the people who put them behind bars. Given the talent involved, it's worth seeking out other projects by these actors. Here are some of the films and shows featuring the cast of When They See Us.

10 Vera Farmiga In Bates Motel

Vera Farmiga plays Elizabeth Lederer in When They See Us, the prosecutor of the case at the center of the story. Farmiga does an excellent job of not turning Lederer a cartoonish monster, instead of playing her as someone conflicted by the case yet willing to ignore certain things for a high-profile victory.

Farmiga has been in so many outstanding projects over the years, such as The Departed and Up in the Air. However, some of her best work is in the series Bates Motel, which serves as a prequel and retelling of the classic Psycho story, with Farmiga playing Norma, Norman Bates' mother.

9 Michael K. Williams In The Wire

Michael K. Williams continues to show why he is one of the most underrated actors working today with his knock-out performance in When They See Us. He plays Bobby McCray, the father of one of the accused and a man haunted by guilt.

Williams broke through with his iconic performance as Omar Little on HBO's masterpiece series The Wire. Omar is a deadly thug who nevertheless lives by a strict moral code. He is one piece of the larger story about the war on drugs on the streets of Baltimore.

8 Kylie Bunbury In Game Night

Kylie Bunbury may not be a huge name, but she certainly made an impression with her role in this miniseries. She plays Angie Richardson, the sister of Kevin Richardson, one of the Central Park Five. Throughout Kevin's ordeal, Angie remains loving and supportive to him no matter what.

Bunbury was also able to show off her comedic side recently in the hilarious and clever comedy Game Night. Bunbury is part of the ensemble including Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams, who play a group of friends whose game night takes a deadly turn.

7 John Leguizamo In Chef

John Leguizamo has a fantastic supporting role in When They See Us as the father of Raymond Santana who is charged as part of the Central Park Five. Leguizamo brings so much depth to the character, shows a parent's heartbreaking struggle to keep their child out of trouble.

Leguizamo has an incredibly versatile career, spanning all genres over the years. However, one of his most overlooked projects in Jon Favreau's Chef. Favreau plays a successful restaurant chef who reinvents himself by starting a food truck with his best friend (Leguizamo).

6 Joshua Jackson In The Affair

Joshua Jackson plays Mickey Joseph in When They See Us, the defense attorney who defended Anton McCray in the original case. Joseph is an honest and hardworking lawyer who sees the many issues in the case but fights an uphill battle.

Jackson is probably best known for his role in the teen drama Dawson's Creek. But an even more captivating series he was a part of was The Affair, which tells the story of a scandalous affair turned deadly seen from a variety of conflicting perspectives.

5 Chris Chalk In Gotham

Chris Chalk gives a powerful performance in When They See Us as an adult Yusef Salaam. Though Salaam is a grown man and attempting to put the past behind him, Chalk manages to show a lot of that vulnerability as his character deals with life after prison.

Chalk gained a lot of attention with his role as Lucius Fox in Gotham. Though Morgan Freeman originated the role on the big screen, Chalk makes it his own in this entertaining series about the early days of Jim Gordon's fight against the criminals of his city.

4 Niecy Nash In Reno 911

Niecy Nash is mostly known for her comedic roles, but she proved herself to be more than capable of dramatic work in When They See Us. Nash plays the mother of Korey Wise, the only one of the five boys who was tried as an adult.

Nash shows a completely different side in the hilarious cult comedy series Reno 911. She is part of the ensemble cast, who play incompetent and reckless police officers serving in Reno, Nevada.

3 Felicity Huffman In Sports Night

Felicity Huffman provides an effective antagonist for the series with her performance as Linda Fairstein, the head of the sex crimes division of the NYPD who spearheaded the investigation and targeted the young boys for the assault.

Huffman is likely more known for her role in Desperate Housewives, but her earlier work in Aaron Sorkin's Sports Night is worth seeking out. The series is centered around the life behind the scenes of a sports show.

2 Jovan Adepo In Overlord

Jovan Adepo continued his rise in fame with his fantastic performance in When They See Us as adult Antron McCray. Adepo beautifully plays the part of a man who strives to move forward after being damaged by his experience in prison and let down by some of his loved ones.

In something completely different, Adepo plays the lead role in the wild war-themed movie Overlord. Adepo plays a paratrooper in World War II who, along with his platoon, uncovers a deadly Nazi experiment.

1 Jharrel Jerome In Moonlight

One of the most heartbreaking performances in the miniseries comes from Jharrel Jerome as Korey Wise. Like the others, Korey was a young man minding his own business who was swept up in this terrible situation. The only reason Korey was interrogated was that he was trying to help his friend.

Jerome proved his young talent a few years earlier in the Oscar-winning film Moonlight. Like When They See Us, this story is told in different timelines. Jerome plays the teenage version of Kevin.
