Agents of SHIELD Actress Cosplays As Her Co-Stars In Funny Video
Actress Briana Venskus, who plays Agent Piper on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, jokingly cosplayed as her co-stars' characters in a Cameo video for a fan. Venskus' character, Piper, joined the show as a SHIELD operative in season 3, helping fight the Inhuman Hive. She stuck around through the Framework, traveling to deep space, and fighting an alien entity named Izel.
The fan, whose Instagram consists of his own cosplay as Agent Phil Coulson, posted the Cameo video on his account. He received the video message from Venskus through the service Cameo, where you can purchase video shoutouts from various celebrities. The fan requested Venskus show how many Agents of SHIELD characters she could "closet cosplay," dressing up as them with only items on hand or close by.
In the video, Venskus manages to dress up as "moody" Daisy Johnson/Quake, Ghost Rider/Robbie Reyes, Deke Shaw, Jemma Simmons, Mack, and of course, Piper, wearing her character's signature leather jacket. While this was clearly just for fun, Agents of SHIELD has been making good use of Instagram to promote season 7, having the cast "leak" BTS images on their personal accounts, teasing the new 1930s setting.
More information has come out since then, including a look at the official poster, and news that an Agent Carter character would be appearing. Venskus reprises her role as Piper in at least one episode of the final season. Agents of SHIELD returns with 13 new episodes on May 27, 10 pm EST on ABC.
