Richard Marles to have spent ‘twice as much’ on VIP flights than claimed

Herald Sun National Political Editor James Campbell says Richard Marles VIP flights are likely to have cost twice as much than what is currently being claimed. The government is under fire for failing to disclose details explaining why it's been spending millions of taxpayer dollars on VIP flights, including a personal bill from Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles of $3.6 million. “The only flights we can see at the moment are the flights that he was actually on,” he told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “The flights where the plane went to collect him and the so-called ghost flights are not counted in that money. "So the scale is skewed.”
