Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has focused on mental and women's health during his federal budget reply. The Opposition leader has pledged that the number of Medicare subside psychological sessions would return to 20 from 10 on a permanent basis along with $5 million to be allocated to review women-specific health items on the Medicare Benefits Schedule and the corresponding Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. “I want an Australia where we support Australians who are unwell not an Australia where we leave those people behind,” Mr Dutton said.
