The Menkhaven Fire forced evacuations in Colorado’s Conejos County after it was first reported in the early hours of Saturday, May 28, according to officials. The US Forest Service said homes in the Menkhaven subdivision, as well as all homes north of Highway 17 between Horca and Fox Creek, were evacuated on Saturday. As of 10 pm on Saturday, the fire was at an estimated 197 acres, officials said.
