Deadly Tropical Depression Agaton Swamps Philippine Towns in Floodwater

At least 44 people died and eight people were missing in the Philippines due to landslides and flooding caused by tropical depression Agaton, according to an update on Wednesday, April 13. Tropical depression Agaton, previously a tropical storm, affected 27 provinces in the country and led to the preemptive evacuation of over 29,600 people, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Wednesday.
