Mr Smith discussed future flood mitigation strategies with Liberal Candidate for Macquarie Sarah Richards. “This was our third flood in three years … each flood over those last three years has increased in size,” Ms Richards said. “I am on the record for the last five and a half years as a Hawkesbury councillor supporting the raising of the Warragamba Dam wall as part of a suite of mitigation factors to protect our community.”
