Large turnout at auction pushes sales price $120,000 above reserve

A four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Holden Hill drew in the crowds as well as eager buyers and sold for $120,000 above its reserve price under the hammer. More than 30 househunters registered to bid for the home at 9 The Parade, which sold for $720,000 at auction conducted by auctioneer Brenton Ilicic.Brought to the market by Ray White Norwood’s Nick Borrelli and Nik Ilic, the home was on the market for the first time since it was built six years ago. The owners are relocating closer to the city and are building a new house. “The turnout on auction day was just crazy,” Mr Borrelli said. “There were 31 registered bidders and around 90 people in attendance. “It was action-packed bidding between 9 bidders. It was finally snapped up by a couple from Hong Kong who had previously lived in Adelaide in the ‘90s.
