Snow-Covered Central Park Dazzles New Yorkers

New York’s first major snowstorm of the season covered Central Park with nearly a half-foot of snow on January 7, and left higher totals elsewhere in the city, officials said. This video from Leona Erziak was taken overlooking the park on Friday morning. “Woke up to that,” Erziak wrote on Instagram, alongside a heart emoji. “It’s that time of the year. #cloud9 #homesweethome #nycstateofmind.” At least 5.5 inches fell of snow fell in Central Park by 7 am, the National Weather Service (NWS) said, while more than 8 inches fell at La Guardia Airport in north Queens.
