Travel beckons stars as borders reopen

After all, when you haven’t had a proper holiday for two years, you want to make this one special. So perhaps the best place to start is with other people’s last memorable holiday. Send us your pictures from your last holiday before Covid struck and we’ll run a selection of the best of them.Tahlia Giumelli and fiance Tom BurgessTom and I spend a lot of NRL off-season travelling and exploring. Fiji, Gold Coast, New Zealand and Coffs Harbour were a few places we visited in the lead up to Covid. Our last pre-Covid holiday was a trip to Byron Bay. It was our first getaway as a newly engaged couple without our first born daughter Sophie, who was five months old at the time. Byron Bay was where we planned to get married and a place where we spent a lot of time enjoying the warm weather and the beautiful beaches. We spent the weekend visiting wedding venues, driving around the hinterlands, enjoying beautiful dinners and cocktails and spending some treasured time together as a couple — but most importantly enjoying a sleep in or two. Who knew what would hit us eight weeks later.Model Simone HoltznagelThis is from 2019, I was living in California and two of my best girlfriends came over to visit me. My friend Andrew Shaw (fellow Aussie) was working for Ellen at the time and organised for us three gals to meet him at the Warner Bros lot in Burbank. He gave us the most amazing private tour of the entire lot. It was one of my favourite days, finished with cocktails and lots of laughs and some of my favourite memories. I can’t wait to get back over there and see all of my friends now international travel is back open!Model Laura DundovicI have been lucky to get to Queensland, Byron and WA for work over the last few years as borders opened up but my last trip purely for fun and my last overseas trip was to Croatia in 2019, for my brother’s wedding. We try to go every year or so with my immediate family but to be over there with my aunties, uncles and cousins was really special. I absolutely adore my brother’s wife Ariela so gaining her as a sister that trip was everything! My Dad grew up on a small island there called Ugljan and the Croatian culture has very much been a part of my upbringing, so not having time there for the last two years was hard. We cannot wait to get back there! Nutritionist, author and podcaster Lola Berry I was lucky enough to teach yoges (that’s my word for yoga) at a Queenstown health and wellness retreat called Arō Ha and this is the view form the yoga room. It’s absolutely stunning. I’ve been three times and am already counting down until the next visit, it’s on the books for 2022. The food is incredible, it’s mainly plant-based and heaps of it is grown on site. They have this outdoor spa where you’re literally just looking out over the mountains, it’s nothing but picturesque. In these snaps I’m doing what’s called acro-yoga. Way easier than it looks, I promise! This place is incredible, it didn’t feel real.Best holidayNAT - Stay Informed - Social Media
