Amur Leopard Cub Celebrates Three Months at Santa Barbara Zoo

A three-month-old Amur leopard cub named Marta made her public debut from the Santa Barbara Zoo, padding around her enclosure in a video released to Facebook on November 7. According to the zoo, Marta weighs about 12 pounds, is “strong and healthy,” and enjoys playing with her mother, Ajax. She was born on August 5 and has since been cared for by a team of specialists at the Santa Barbara Zoo, but was not exhibited during what the zoo said was a critical bonding period for the cub and mother. The Amur leopard is the most endangered big cat on Earth, with only about 50 cats left in the wild, the zoo said. Credit: Santa Barbara Zoo via Storyful
