90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Jenny Slatten has found a surprising supporter in India amidst her long-drawn battle with Sumit Singh’s mother Sadhna. Although 90 Day Fiancé fans want Jenny to cease her pursuit of getting married to Sumit and go back to America, they’ve also been getting entertained by Sadhna calling out on her lies. While Sadhna may never find the daughter-in-law of her dreams in Jenny, she sure is hell-bent on making the 63-year old's life miserable. However, Jenny, who wasn’t getting any help from Sumit in dodging his mom’s outrageous demands, has met an ally who’s driven Sadhna to tears.
Jenny’s biggest dream on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is to become Sumit’s second wife, but he is a mama’s boy who won’t do anything against Sadhna’s wishes. This is when Sadhna coming over to stay with them and teach Jenny a few tricks was seen as a golden opportunity by Sumit. Alas, Jenny failed to do all of the tasks Sadhna expected her to do. In addition to calling Jenny “useless” and “rusty,” Sadhna also concluded that Jenny cannot cook or clean or contort her body properly during yoga.
However, Jenny’s shocking new friend is asking Sadhna to cut the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star some slack as per a clip for episode 11 posted by ET. Sumit, Jenny, and his parents appear to have invited the Singh family’s trusted astrologer Khalid over for a tete-a-tete. Sumit explains to the astrologer that a gap has formed within his family thanks to his relationship with Jenny. The usually silent Anil comments, “We thought we’d teach her a few things, like how to cook good food, etc.” Sadhna complains that “there is so much work for a woman” and that “Jenny doesn’t know any of it.” However, Khalid who had once predicted that Sumit will choose an older woman is quick to bluntly add, “You don’t have to teach them anything. You take care of your husband. You shouldn’t interfere in someone else’s house.”
As per Khalid, all that Sadhna needs to do is eat, drink, and have fun, and that Jenny will learn everything on her own. “Is it their marriage or your marriage?” Khalid asks Sadhna, whom he thinks is doing a “useless exercise.” He feels that Sadhna has a fantasy of having a daughter-in-law she can train, but they are just her dreams that “can’t work here.” While Sadhna admits that she wants Jenny and Sumit to have kids, which is difficult given Jenny's age, Khalid gives her an earful when he tells her, “you're not the one getting married, so you have nothing to do with this.” He also wants Sadhna to stop meddling in Jenny and Sumit's relationship as it could make them see her as the enemy. “What kind of mother are you? Are you a selfish mother? It seems like it to me. Let him go,” is the astrologer’s honest advice to Sadhna which makes her burst into tears instantly.
Khalid taking Jenny’s side in this situation is startling to 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way viewers. During episode 1 of the season, the astrologer had asked Sumit to not alter fate and not force a marriage. Despite knowing about Jenny’s expiring tourist visa, Khalid maintained that she and Sumit should let God decide what is good, and if they force a marriage, it would break soon. Back then, Jenny didn’t care about what Khalid said. But now, Khalid may have earned himself a fan.
