The Akubra hat and confronting handlebars moustache look tie it all together. Ricciardo has previously shown up to the race in wild costumes that include a fully kitted out Texas Longhorns college football team kit, a humble farmer and a cowboy partner with former Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen.His 2021 look is strikingly familiar to the black cowboy stume he wore ahead of the 2018 event — but at least he wasn’t rocking the handlebars look back then.As much as Ricciardo was impossible to look away from, Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton did his best to overshadow his colleague on the grid.Hamilton also showed up late to his press conference late and claimed he had been locked in his team’s bathroom as a result of a faulty door.Hamilton showed up at the track sporting a typically impossible-to-describe look that appeared to be made out of 1000 flannels stitched together. Ricciardo has been making headlines all week as he toured the US ahead of this weekend’s Grand Prix on Monday morning (AEDT).He revealed this week he previously had to reject legenday NFL quarterback Tom Brady, to instead support the Buffalo Bills — despite meeting the record seven-time Super Bowl champion in recent years.
