90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Jenny Slatten made a shocking claim about partner Sumit Singh paying all their bills. Fans have often wondered if Sumit and Jenny’s 90 Day Fiancé relationship has been motivated by money. There have been instances in the franchise where American cast members have been scammed by their international lovers who were clearly catfishing. Sumit was a catfish when he first met Jenny on Facebook as Michael Jones. However, as she still waits to get married, Jenny slammed a critic by revealing this secret about Sumit.
The unique love story of Jenny and Sumit began in 2011 over a friend request that he sent while working as a call center employee in New Delhi. Sumit, pretending to be Michael, wooed Jenny with his jokes and romantic comments, and the American grandma also fell for him when he revealed his true self. In 2013, Sumit was the one who flew Jenny to India to meet her for the first time. But the couple evidently was low on cash, and in 2018 Jenny contacted 90 Day Fiancé to overcome this obstacle. Money was keeping Sumit and Jenny apart in their painful long-distance relationship during which he also got secretly married.
But even after doing the show, Jenny has been upset due to financial troubles on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3 since going back and forth from India to the United States is an expensive affair. However, present-day Jenny appears to be staying comfortably in India with Sumit. On Jenny's Facebook page, a fan alleged that they never see Sumit going to work on the show and making any efforts to help her out. The TLC viewer asked if Sumit actually loves her or is just looking to have a good time. “He pays all the bills actually,” was Jenny’s sassy reply. The fan told Jenny that they think she deserves better, and it appears that Sumit’s fiancée is already living her best life, unlike what’s shown on TV.
Jenny usually interacts with her friends on Facebook, while she tries to stay away from Instagram, where Sumit is more active. At present, Jenny appears to be touring Jaipur, Rajasthan, with Sumit, as her Facebook cover photo indicates. One fan showed their disapproval at Jenny still being in India by saying, “I think they need to move to the US where they will not be so badly judged.” But Jenny was witty again as she typed, “Really do you think we won't be judged in America hmmmmm I wonder.” Jenny’s supporters agreed that Sumit and her age gap will be a cause of mockery wherever they go and that their life in America will be difficult as she cashed everything out to move to his country.
During 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2, Sumit borrowed $20,000 from his father for his divorce proceedings. Sumit even quit his previous job to stay with Jenny and later applied for a position that would pay him $100 a week at a friend’s marketing agency. Since he never had any relevant experience, he didn't get the job, and word on the street was that Sumit started working as a chef. It's not known what job Sumit does currently that allows him to cover both his and Jenny’s expenses. However, Jenny’s response was a surprise for those who believed that Sumit and Jenny’s happy life in India was being funded by TLC paychecks and her savings.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way airs Sundays at 8pm on TLC.
