In every season of The Challenge, the cast is made up of a mix of players who have played the game at least once before and others who are completely new to the series. But the latest iteration of the show, Spies, Lies & Allies, has an exceptionally high rookie-to-veteran ratio.
With so many newbies entering the game, it's hard to fully see how each individual is as a competitor. However, it's clear that some of this season's rookies have a better shot at a future Challenge win than others.
10 Jeremiah White
Although Jeremiah White hasn't been eliminated from Spies, Lies & Allies yet, his prospects for winning a Challenge just don't seem very good.
He's getting a nearly invisible edit during this season, which would seem to indicate that he isn't going to win this particular Challenge nor will he likely be invited back in the future. Time will only tell, but it doesn't seem like this former Love Island contestant has a very high probability of ever winning the show.
9 Renan Hellemans
For someone who was eliminated in the first episode and wasn't really a part of the main drama in the Spies, Lies & Allies premiere, Renan did seemingly get a pretty decent amount of attention. Plenty of first-outers have been invited back for a second season as well, so it's not fully out of the realm of possibility that Renan will get another chance.
However, at this point it seems more likely than not that he won't come back, which obviously makes a future win extremely improbable.
8 Gábor "Gabo" Szabó
Out of all of the male rookies in this season, it seems like Gabo returning to the series is a near-guarantee so long as he decides to actually do it. And obviously, he's a more than capable physical competitor. However, he doesn't seem like a future winner either.
He repeatedly said that he was only on The Challenge to party and have a good time, and he seemed to have absolutely no idea how to actually play the game.
7 Emanuel Neagu
Emanuel has undoubtedly been helped by being paired with one of the strongest female competitors on this season, but he has also distinguished himself as a talented player in his own right.
He also seems to have exactly what The Challenge is looking for in terms of drama and actual gameplay, and as a former winner on his country's iteration of Survivor, it seems like he absolutely knows how to emerge victorious in a reality TV competition.
6 Corey Lay
Although 12 Dates of Christmas doesn't exactly sound like the kind of reality show that would help any player adjust to the world of The Challenge, Corey L. still proved that he can hang with the contestants on the MTV series.
Plus, he really established himself as a character during Spies, Lies & Allies, so another invitation to a later season of The Challenge seems like a near guarantee for him, clearly upping his chances of a future win.
5 Tommy Sheehan
Tommy Sheehan wasn't really on this season of The Challenge long enough to distinguish himself as a competitor or a character, so there's no certainty that he'll be on another season.
However, the show clearly likes casting Survivor competitors, and the veteran Challenge players are threatened by these particular newbies for a reason. Survivor is one of the toughest shows to win, so the fact that Tommy won Island of the Idols means that winning a Challenge shouldn't be very difficult.
4 Hughie Maughan
Every season of The Challenge begins with a pretty huge crop of rookies, but unsurprisingly there are always one or two that establish themselves as one of the real stars of the season. And in Spies, Lies & Allies, Hughie Maughan is clearly that player.
His frenetic, unpredictable personality combined with his ability to actually compete well is a match made in heaven, and if he can channel that energy into a fight to the finish line, he just might come up a winner.
3 Logan Sampedro
Thus far, Logan Sampedro has been relatively under the radar, at least for someone who has already won a daily, won an elimination, abruptly lost a partner, and developed a bit of a showmance with Big T.
But he actually appears to be a quite well-rounded competitor, which is one of the clearest indicators of a potential future victor. And, he came in second on his season of Survivor, so under the right circumstances, he could absolutely win The Challenge.
2 Ed Eason
The Circle's Ed Eason has a charming and fun personality that seems to be hiding the pretty badass competitor that he really is, but he's another breakout rookie who seems like a sure thing for a future season.
He's smart, he's strong, and he clearly has the social game to make it far, so while Ed seemingly had no idea what show he was even competing on when he first arrived on The Challenge, he actually has some of the best potential to win someday.
1 Kelechi "Kelz" Dyke
Although no one ever wants to be the first out, sometimes it can be a good omen, as future winners like Cara Maria and Johnny Bananas were also the first to be eliminated in their debut seasons.
And while usually any random rookie will do as the sacrificial lamb, the veteran players went out of their way to get Kelz out as soon as possible. And it's not hard to see why, as he is a huge physical threat that refused to be railroaded by the vets.
