There's little question that, in the AMC series Kevin Can F**K Himself, Allison takes things pretty far sometimes. Based on the title of the series alone, it's clear she's incredibly unhappy and looking to make a change. And she is willing to do whatever it takes.
Viewers might sympathize with Allison, believing that she was right to do at least some of the things she did in retaliation for what Kevin has done to her all these years, and continues to do. However, in some instances, she might have taken things a bit too far.
10 Putting Out A Hit On Kevin
First and foremost, the very idea of Allison wanting her husband dead is terrible, as no one deserves that. However, when she went too far was when she actually hired Nick to do the deed.
While it didn't end up happening as planned, the fact that she was okay with someone murdering her husband, and planned to pay them afterward for doing it, was simply going way too far.
9 Sleeping With Sam
Adultery is never right, and while Allison felt stuck in a terrible marriage, she should have done the admirable thing and asked Kevin for a divorce so she could move on with her life. This is, of course, easier said than done.
Nonetheless, she went too far when she not only slept with Sam once but continued to have an affair with him. Not only was she still married to Kevin, but Sam was also married. Needless to say, neither will go down in history as one of the best TV sitcom married couples.
8 Taking & Ruining Kevin's Jersey
While it would be tough not to watch this episode and laugh, Allison also did a horrible thing. Still, knowing that the jersey Kevin had wasted so much money on and was so excited about, had indeed shown up and Allison took it and wore it, was hilarious.
With that said, once Allison saw that Kevin was unfairly accusing their neighbors of having stolen it, she should have confessed or at least pretended to find the jersey. Instead, she let innocent people be blamed when they had nothing to do with the situation.
7 Stealing From A Cosmetics Store
It was just petty theft and the woman in the store was very rude to Allison. Still, theft is never condoned and she should not have pocketed the tube of lipstick.
Allison was met with a dose of karma, as when she opened the stick of lipstick and rolled it out, it revealed an atrocious shade of light purple. She ended up throwing it in the garbage, which was even worse. Sure, the store clerk was mean but the store owner did not deserve to have something taken without payment.
6 Punching Marcus
While Allison was heavily intoxicated at the time and very upset, she should not have resorted to physical violence by punching Marcus. This not only led to a strained relationship between the two people who barely knew one another, but it also started a dangerous prank war.
Marcus wasn't the nicest person himself. Nonetheless, being intoxicated is no excuse and Allison should not have done what she did. Indeed, she recognized immediately after that she had made a mistake and apologized for it.
5 Doing Drugs
After running out of the house upset, Allison came upon local drug dealer Marcus and did drugs with him as she continued to vent her frustrations about her husband to the local man she didn't even know. It was a bad decision that led Allison down a very dark and dangerous path.
While drinking a bottle of wine alone in the bathtub at home right before she did this wasn’t the greatest idea either, at least there she was safe and avoiding getting into the trouble she did when she decided to go out late at night.
4 Going On A Road Trip To Buy Drugs
It was nice to see Allison and Patty – one of the best characters on Kevin Can F**K Himself - finally getting to know one another on another level and bonding. But it was highly dangerous for the two women to travel out of state to a small-town drug dealer to get pills.
They encountered a lot of dangerous situations and could have really gotten hurt. While Allison was toying with the idea of killing her husband, taking off on a road trip to find the pills that would help her do it took things too far.
3 Wanting To Pin Drug Deals On Kevin
Not only did Allison want to kill her husband, but when an elaborate plan was unearthed that would get both Allison and Patty out of a jam, she didn't hesitate to go for it.
Wanting to kill her husband was already taking things too far. Unlike other sitcoms where things get serious from time to time, every episode of Kevin Can F**K Himself flips between humorous and serious. Allison being willing to have Kevin's posthumous reputation completely tarnished by making people think he was secretly dealing drugs in the neighborhood was deplorable.
2 Getting Patty Caught Up In Her Plan
While it's understandable that Allison needed someone to talk to about her feelings and reveal her plans to, her revealing that she wanted to kill Kevin to Patty instantly put the latter in a terrible position. Because Patty now knew the truth, she automatically became a part of the attempted murder plot, complicit if she didn't turn Allison in.
While Patty seemed to be on board rather quickly with the plan, particularly when the outcome could save her from being arrested, it was a selfish thing to do.
1 Premeditated Measures
The premeditated measures Allison took before securing Kevin's fate showed a dark and sinister side to the woman. While she broke down crying on a number of occasions, she clearly knew what she was doing and was making plans to cover her tracks once the deed was done.
From getting coaching sessions from Patty on how to deal with the police questioning to breaking up with Sam so he would be able to confirm she ended their affair because she loved her husband, it was sickening to watch. But the worst was when she made an appointment at a fertility clinic to pretend she and her husband were trying to have a baby so the visit would be on record should she ever become a suspect. Allison might be sweet but she also could go down as one of the most memorable sitcom villains.
