The Flash Movie Set Photo Reveals Working Title | Screen Rant

A photo from the set of The Flash movie has revealed its working title. Barry Allen made his first DCEU appearance in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, albeit in a brief cameo from Ezra Miller. The Scarlet Speedster was later featured much more prominently in 2016's Justice League and 2021's Snyder Cut. A solo Flash movie had been trying to get off the ground for years and the COVID-19 pandemic only made matters worse.

Now that the project is in production from It director Andy Muschietti with a script from Birds of Prey writer Christina Hodson, it looks like The Flash is on track for its November 2022 release. DC and Warner Bros. have been able to keep the film's plot details under wraps, but not the countless set photos from surfacing online and spreading on social media. These leaks confirm that both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton will be reprising their roles as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Sasha Calle will be making her DCEU debut as Supergirl. Now, another set photo has been unearthed.

The Twitter account FlashFilmNews has the latest look at The Flash movie set in Glasgow. Since Black Adam recently wrapped filming, the only other DCEU films currently in production are Aquaman 2 and Shazam! Fury Of The Gods, the former of which is officially titled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom but also seems to be operating under the working title "Necrus." The Shazam sequel, on the other hand, opted to start filming under its official title in lieu of a temporary one. In the film industry, working titles are used to begin the production process without attracting too much attention.

While a film’s working title usually doesn't bear any significant relation to its plot, fans will likely begin theorizing what “Baby Shower” could mean for The Flash’s first solo outing. The film seems to be adapting the famous Flashpoint storyline from the comics which sees Allen go back in time to prevent the death of his mother. Based on this speculation, it sounds like the DCEU could also be heading in the direction of the multiverse just like the MCU, which would explain the two Batmans. With The Flash’s working title revealed, let the theorizing begin.
