Fast & Furious star Sung Kang suggests fans campaign to bring back Gal Gadot as Gisele in a future installment. This week's Fast & Furious 9, aka F9, shocked fans last year when it was revealed that Kang's Han Lue would be returning to the family. Han seemingly perished in 2013's Fast & Furious 6, which later led to a fan campaign calling on the franchise to find "Justice for Han." Exactly how he has returned to the land of the living remains to be seen, but his reappearance has led some to wonder about who else could return to the Fast & Furious franchise.
The top choice just might be Gadot's Gisele Yashar. After first appearing in the franchise's fourth movie, Fast & Furious, Gisele returned for Fast Five and earned an even bigger role among Dom's (Vin Diesel) crew. Her relationship with Han is often singled out as a favorite among fans, and many were saddened by her death in Fast & Furious 6. However, now that Han is back in F9, the question has now become if Gisele could be the next surprise return in Fast & Furious 10.
Kang thinks it could happen, but only if the fans show their support. In an interview with CinePOP, Kang was asked if Fast & Furious might ever bring back Gisele. "Well, hey, anything is possible," he said. He then offered an idea for how audiences can convince the powers that be to make it happen: "If you guys start a hashtag 'Bring back Gisele,' it's very possible." Right after, though, Kang acknowledged that Gadot "is a little busy right now, she's saving the world."
This, of course, was in reference to Gadot's role as Wonder Woman in the DCEU. After Fast & Furious helped cement Gadot's place as a movie star, Wonder Woman turned her into a household name. She will return for Wonder Woman 3, though that currently remains without a release date. If that's still a few years off, perhaps she could sneak in a quick Fast & Furious return. A bigger role could be more difficult to swing, particularly since she also has Cleopatra in the works.
For her part, Gadot admitted last year she isn't sure if a Fast & Furious return is in the cards for her. Though the part of Gisele remains a significant one in her career, the character is technically dead. Gadot has likely put Fast & Furious behind her, though not out of any dissatisfaction with the franchise. Should there be room for her in a future project - such as, perhaps, the all-female spin-off - Gadot could very well find herself back among the Fast & Furious family. It's all about timing, story, and, as Kang pointed out, fan interest.
