Big Brother alum Janelle Pierzina is accusing Mike "Boogie" Malin of harassing her. After news broke of Mike's recent arrest, Janelle took to Twitter to admit she had to block his phone number after he would not stop messaging her. Mike was found guilty of stalking yet another Big Brother alum, who was also once his best ally in the game, Dr. Will Kirby. He has since been sentenced to a two-year probation period.
While Mike and Will first met when the competed in season 2 of Big Brother together, they were later introduced to Janelle during season 7, which was the show's first All-Stars season. Mike ultimately took home the half-million dollar grand prize that season, while Janelle came just shy of winning a cash prize when she was the last to be evicted from the house, ultimately coming in third place. The two were later reconnected when they returned to the game yet again as coaches during season 14. This was Mike's last time competing in the game; however, Janelle returned for a fourth time during the second All-Stars season last summer.
After knowing each other for many years, Janelle has had to block Mike from being able to contact her. Janelle claimed on Twitter that Mike was recently harassing her via text messages. Earlier this month, a Big Brother fan tweeted about not being shocked by the news of Big Brother's Mike being found guilty of stalking Dr. Will. In the tweet, the user included a news article regarding the incident. Janelle came across the tweet while scrolling through Twitter and decided to share her recent interactions with Mike. She wrote, "Had to block his phone number this week because he was harassing me." Fans took to Reddit to share their thoughts.
Janelle continued on to admit that it is "sad what's happened to him." She is hopeful that Mike will receive the proper help that he needs. On Reddit, one user recalled that Mike was "particularly vile toward Janelle" during season 7 of the show. Other longtime viewers chimed in, agreeing, and also adding that the ongoing rivalry between Big Brother's Janelle and Mike seemed to be based off of jealousy. As it was quite noticeable that Mike was obviously obsessed with Will, many believe he did not like the connection Will had with Janelle, ultimately leading to his hatred towards her. Another user noted that Janelle mentioned during the live feeds for season 22 that she had actually stayed in contact with Mike and not Will.
These recent charges are not Mike's first encounter with the law. In 2020, Mike was arrested for a DUI in Las Vegas. This arrest was just one year after news broke of Mike stalking his former Big Brother ally. Since being found guilty, Will has breathed a sigh of relief, admitting he feels grateful for Big Brother alum Mike's sentencing.
Big Brother premieres July 7 at 8pm on CBS.
