As Big Brother contestants fight to win half a million dollars, many of them have one goal in mind--don't end up on the block! While some players manage to make it all of the way to the end without ever being nominated for eviction, others are not quite so lucky.
In fact, some seasons feature houseguests who become perpetual pawns, continuously getting nominated but surviving week after week. Let's take a look at the houseguests who have been nominated for eviction the most times in their Big Brother careers!
10 Frank Eudy: 7 Times
Frank first appeared on BB14 where he became beloved for being an underdog. During this season, he was constantly targeted by his fellow houseguests, ending up on the block 6 times. Before he was finally evicted, Frank managed to save himself by winning the veto 3 times and forging crucial alliances when his back was against the wall.
When Frank appeared on BB18 as a returning houseguest, the players knew better than to pass up the opportunity to evict him and he was nominated once and promptly sent out the door.
9 James Rhine: 7 Times
James is another houseguest who has played the game twice. During his first appearance in BB6, he proved to be a fierce competitor.
He was nominated 4 times and saved himself from eviction with the power of veto twice before being backdoored. When he returned for BB7, he was nominated another 3 times bringing his total number of times on the block to 7.
8 Kevin Campell: 8 Times
Kevin first played Big Brother during season 11. During this season, he was part of a strong alliance and ultimately came in third place after being nominated only 3 times during the entire season.
When Kevin returned for Big Brother: All Stars 2 he assumed he would play a similar game. His second appearance turned out to be a much different experience as Kevin struggled to form allies and was regularly placed on the block. Between the 5 nominations in his second season and the three nominations in his first season, Kevin was up for eviction a total of 8 times.
7 Paul Abrahamian: 8 Times
When Paul first appeared on Big Brother 18, they found themselves in a house filled with both new and returning players. Paul was initially vocal about getting the returning players out and their large personality quickly made them a huge target in the house. During this season, Paul was nominated a total of 6 times before ultimately placing in second.
When Paul returned for season 19 to play as a vet, they were determined to correct their mistakes and take home the prize. Though they were only nominated twice this season, they became the runner-up once again. Though they didn't manage to secure their title as a winner, they did manage to secure their place as one of the most nominated houseguests ever.
6 Erika Landin: 9 Times
Erika is well-remembered for her strategic gameplay in both BB4 and BB7. She placed well in both seasons, coming in 4th during her first season and winning the second place prize during her return for Big Brother: All Stars.
But this doesn't mean that Erika had an easy path to the end of the game. During BB4, she was nominated for eviction 3 times. This number doubled in BB7 when she was nominated 6 times, bringing her total to 9 times on the block.
5 Spencer Clawson: 9 Times
Unlike many of the other houseguests on this list, Spencer only played Big Brother once. Despite this, he still managed to get nominated 9 times during season 15, being seen as the ultimate pawn.
It seemed as though Spencer would slip through all of the way until the end, but on finale night he was evicted as he became the final member of the jury, placing third.
4 John McGuire: 9 Times
Season 17 of Big Brother was filled with strategic players. With the Battle of the Block twist in play, 2 HOHs were crowned and 4 houseguests were nominated for eviction each week.
This resulted in the HOHs concocting elaborate plans, strategically nominating players to try and reach their desired outcome. Oftentimes, these plans involved a pawn, and everyone's favorite pawn this season was Johnny Mac. John ended up nominated for eviction 9 times, which led to many hilarious diary room sessions.
3 Victoria Rafaeli: 10 Times
When Big Brother fans think of pawns, the first player that comes to mind is Victoria. A contestant on season 16, another season with the Battle of the Block twist, Victoria became the player to become nominated the most in a single season.
Though she was nominated 10 times, she continued to play a laid-back game and was ultimately seen as a non-threat.
2 Nicole Franzel: 12 Times
Nicole is a well-known Big Brother player. After playing the game 3 times, it's no surprise that she has been nominated for eviction quite a few times. During her first appearance on BB16, Nicole was nominated for eviction a total of 6 times.
During her second season, she played a much better game and was only nominated twice before winning the season. Nicole returned for Big Brother: All Stars 2 and was nominated for eviction 4 times being sent out the door on finale night in 3rd place.
1 Janelle Pierzina: 13 Times
Janelle is a Big Brother legend, competing on the show 4 times and holding many records. During her first appearance on BB6, she established herself as a true threat, forming strong allies and enemies and being nominated for eviction a total of 6 times before placing in third. She returned again for BB7, becoming a comp beast and being placed on the block 5 times before coming in third place again.
After this, Janelle returned for two more seasons, BB14 and BB22. During these seasons, her reputation worked against her and she was quickly nominated early on and immediately evicted her first time on the block as players knew better than to leave her in the game. Between all of her appearances, Janelle was nominated a total of 13 times, making her the most nominated houseguest of all time and providing Janelle with yet another Big Brother record.
