Being the Avatar, Aang is, naturally, the most powerful character in Avatar: The Last Airbender; he's leagues beyond even the greatest bending masters in the world. In combination with the Avatar State, his strength and durability are unimaginably augmented, not to mention he gets access to techniques he personally has no knowledge of.
That being said, does this mean that Aang could effortlessly defeat every character in Demon Slayer? Obviously not, because some of those warriors have been training for more years than the Avatar has been alive, but there are a few that Aang could take down as long as he times his attacks correctly.
10 Aang Could Defeat: Tanjiro Kamado
In a battle between these two protagonists, it's far more likely that Aang is going to be the victor because Tanjiro's powers, while vast, are not consistent—considering only the anime storyline, as the manga version of Tanjiro is another level of terrifying.
Aang could easily counteract the attacks emerging from his opponent's blade with little more than some crafty Waterbending. In case of a tie, there's always Earthbending to seal Tanjiro in the ground.
9 Aang Would Lose To: Tamayo
Tamayo is an ancient Demon, probably as old as Muzan Kibutsuji, and her fame precedes that of the Twelve Kizuki. Her greatest strength lies in the field of drug chemistry, seeing that she's capable of saving Yushiro from his fatal illness by turning him into a Demon, as well as changing the boy back later. However, it is Tamayo's Anti-Kibutsuji Drug that will be Aang's downfall, because the chemical cocktail is enough to overwhelm Muzan himself.
8 Aang Could Defeat: Kagaya Ubuyashiki
Counterintuitive though it might appear, the chief of the Demon Slayer Corps is far below his subordinates in terms of combat prowess. In fact, the reason he assumes the leadership position has more to do with his willpower and belief system than any explosive techniques.
Kagaya does have a certain sense of precognition, but if he doesn't possess the strength to take Aang on in a fight, then foreseeing the outcome would be pointless.
7 Aang Would Lose To: Shinobu Kocho
Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, is no slouch, displaying incredible offensive abilities such as cutting gigantic rocks with a single slice of her blade.
More importantly, there is little hope for Aang to match her immeasurable agility, not even with Airbending augmenting his speed. Then again, it would certainly be interesting to see how Aang's jet-engine force of breath compares with Shinobu's Insect Breathing style.
6 Aang Could Defeat: Inosuke Hashibira
Avatar Aang is an extremely proficient combatant when faced with non-benders, which is why he is going to triumph over Inosuke Hashibara.
The latter's erratic Beast Breathing may keep the former on his toes for a short period of time, but his moves aren't strong enough to protect himself from multiple elemental bending attacks thrown at him from every imaginable direction. Aang and Inosuke would make excellent friends if they ever meet, as long as the Avatar doesn't actually kill him.
5 Aang Would Lose To: Zenitsu Agatsuma
Ordinary Zenitsu would run away immediately if he ever catches wind that he may have to battle someone like Aang, but this does not apply to his "unconscious version." If Zenitsu is ever pushed to the brink of terror, his body naturally falls asleep, thereby activating his real powers.
Aang doesn't exactly have a pleasant history with electricity, with Azula and Ozai using Lightningbending to kill him. Nevertheless, unlike the Fire Lord and his daughter, Zenitsu's Thunder Breathing is exceedingly tricky to counter with or without Lightning Redirection.
4 Aang Could Defeat: Kanao Tsuyuri
Kanao Tsuyuri is trained by Shinobu and hopes to become a Hashira for the Demon Slayer Corps. Tanjiro estimates that she is almost at Hashira-level already despite not having the official title.
This is proved by Kanao's physical prowess, expanded perception, and a bunch of intense Flower Breathing techniques. Regardless, if Kanao doesn't have access to the Equinoctial Vermilion Eye, she stands no chance against Avatar Aang.
3 Aang Would Lose To: Muzan Kibutsuji
Muzan Kibutsuji is like the Ozai of the Demon Slayer world, albeit with the benefit of being incomparably more powerful. Aang had trouble with the Fire Lord, but the Avatar State makes short work of the villain, forcing him to dodge and avoid until he is caught.
Could this be replicated with Muzan? Assuming the battle takes place after sunset, the combined strength of all the Avatar spirits within Aang are not going to be capable of defeating the first Demon to be born.
2 Aang Could Defeat: Rui
Rui the Lower Rank 5 Of The Twelve Kizuki is a terrifying adversary, especially with his razor-sharp techniques using steel threads as "spider-webbing" to generate attacks like Kokushiro, Kokushi Rinten, and Ayame Kago.
These abilities seem durable, but Aang doesn't have to worry too much about Rui; Cutting Threads and Murderous Eye Baskets are not strong enough to bring the Avatar down.
1 Aang Would Lose To: Giyu Tomioka
The Water Hashira is too much for Aang, seeing how quickly Giyu destroys Rui with his patented Eleventh Form: Nagi, a process that combines stillness and speed with such force that the Avatar will need to do all he can just to stay alive.
Giyu's skillset is so versatile and layered that it draws praise from the most hardened enemies, such as Akaza the Upper Rank Three demon. Aang can stave off defeat while in the Avatar State, but, given the amount of energy that requires, this likely wouldn't constitute a winning formula.
