Although reality television stars hold enough star power themselves, it doesn't hurt to see some famous faces in cameo appearances, especially when it's not announced prior. Whether it's helping a reality star film a music video or stepping in as a guest judge, celebrity guest stars are there to help save the day on their respective episodes.
There are a handful of celebrities who have been cameos in some of the biggest reality shows out there, and there are even more who are huge fans of these shows themselves, making their appearance just as important on their part as well as for the viewers.
10 Alex Rodriguez, Keeping Up With The Kardashians
In season 15 of KUWTK, ARod was able to use his baseball expertise and teach the family some tips and tricks of the game.
The famous baseball player was helping the Kardashian clan practice and learn how to play softball for an upcoming charity game. He is one of the most famous athletes to appear on the reality show over its 20 season run.
9 Patti LaBelle, RHONJ
The award-winning singer had her dreams come true when she was able to be featured on one of her favorite shows, The Real Housewives of New Jersey. In season 4, LaBelle was spotted when Chris Manzo and his friend went to the Fancy Food Show to promote their water, BLK.
While starstruck, Manzo hugged the singer and even gave her BLK water to take with her. The starstruck feeling was mutual since LaBelle already knew who Manzo was and admitted she was a fan.
8 Lady Gaga, The Hills
The Hills followed Lauren Conrad and her experience trying to make it in the fashion industry, and one of her major assignments for her internship at Teen Vogue was to help out pop star Lady Gaga.
This included helping Gaga get into her costume and make sure her appearance was perfect before she went on stage to perform. The episode featured Gaga's breakout hit, "Just Dance", which marked the start of her impressive career as a pop singer.
7 Ariana Grande, Keeping Up With The Kardashians
Season 16 of Keeping Up With The Kardashians found Ariana Grande prepping for her now-iconic music video for the song "thank u, next".
Momager Kris Jenner was asked to play the role of the excited mom, channeling her inner Mrs. George from Mean Girls, in the recreation of the famous Jingle Bell Rock scene in the movie. Jenner nailed her part in the video, and Grande highly enjoyed her debut on the show.
6 Zendaya, America's Next Top Model
Zendaya was featured on the popular model show on two different seasons. Her first appearance was on cycle 20 when she and model Shaun Ross helped the models with a photoshoot about flaws and insecurities.
In cycle 23, the reboot with Rita Ora, she was seen in the premiere episode where the models had to go from a runway walk to a trust fall photoshoot right after walking off the stage. The prize of this challenge was to take a selfie with Zendaya.
5 Seth Rogen, Vanderpump Rules
Back in 2015, Rogen and his co-stars from the film The Night Before stopped by the set of Vanderpump Rules and created their own intro segment for the show.
There was even footage released on his social media accounts sharing different scenes that he and his co-stars were in, which included other cast members of Vanderpump Rules training the celebrities how to work for Lisa and Ken. It also helped that he is a major fan of the show before he had this opportunity.
4 Nicki Minaj, RuPaul's Drag Race
Minaj was an excellent cameo and celebrity judge on season 12's premiere episode of RuPaul's Drag Race. The queens had to rap for her as a part of their performance, which included a freestyle rap from Minaj herself in the episode.
Other than her rapping, she took her time as a judge seriously, including providing feedback on the queens' raps, offering advice, pointing out what she loved and what can be worked on with each queen, and brought a great attitude with her comments.
3 Kris Jenner, RHOBH
Having connections to many celebrities in Hollywood already, Jenner's friendship with Kyle Richards, Faye Resnick, and Lisa Rinna worked out for her.
She was able to have a cameo on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on three different occasions, and there are even rumors that she is set to star in the show herself this year after Keeping Up With The Kardashians comes to an end.
2 Hilary Duff, The Hills
Although Duff's time on the show seemed very quick, her impact on the other cast members in the episode was dramatic. One of Lauren and Whitney's jobs as the Teen Vogue interns was to make sure everyone got seated at a major fashion event.
Duff's late appearance caused some stress and chaos for the girls, but she finally showed up to save the day and the fashion show.
1 Miley Cyrus, RuPaul's Drag Race
Cyrus made her mark on the critically acclaimed show as a celebrity judge in season 11 of RuPaul's Drag Race. As the first judge of the season, she went undercover as a crew member of the show in a beard, mustache, and wig to hide her true appearance.
The queens had no idea what was going on when Cyrus came out to meet them and were extremely surprised to see her reveal.
