The Sims 4 Ghost-Themed Stuff Pack Will Be Revealed Next Week

Fans of The Sims 4 are going to be receiving details on a new stuff pack, which will be coming out next week. This stuff pack will be the 18th one overall and will be entirely ghost-themed with a major focus on spirits.

The game, which has been out since 2014, has had multiple different types of packs that are related to supernatural attire, such as The Sims 4: Realm of Magic game pack, which featured the ability to become witches and warlocks. The Sims 4: Strangerville, an Area-51 type game pack, and The Sims 4: Vampires, which added the titular supernatural being into the game have been around for some time, but there has never been a pack that has related specifically to ghosts and spirits. While there has been a sort of "Halloween" themed stuff pack, Spooky Stuff, no other stuff pack has come forward to continue on that trend until now.

The new stuff pack was announced on TwitterThe Sims' Twitter page wrote "let the investigation begin!" followed by a reveal date of January 12 for the first pack reveal of 2021. Due to what the tweet says, players can probably assume that something related to ghost-hunting, perhaps a Ghostbusters style of gameplay, will be included in this stuff pack, as well as what seems to be a completely different type of spirit than the normal human ones that can roam the streets of players Sims towns.

The Sims 4 has been pretty hit or miss with the packs that have been released; expansion, game, or stuff regardless. While some, like The Sims 4: Seasons have gone over well, other packs, such as The Sims 4: Journey to Batuu were less than desired by fans and didn't live up to the hype they originally delivered. Some packs fans really don't even want, like The Sims 4: Moschino Stuff. Recently, their expansion packs have been decently big with some of the bigger The Sims 4 players that stream on Twitch or YouTube. The expansion pack The Sims 4: Snowy Escape provided a very much needed change of scenery, despite some bugs that have come up with it, but since this is a stuff pack and not an expansion, it remains to be seen how it will fare.

However, this does seem to be the first stuff pack that seems to actually have some form of different gameplay besides just learning how to take a photograph (looking at you, Moschino Stuff). Learning how to hunt ghosts is certainly unique compared to some other careers/traits that have come from stuff packs. But for some, the real question is if the new stuff pack will be worth the money to get, and considering it's a bit expensive to keep The Sims 4 entertaining, maybe some will avoid this ghost-themed pack.
