These days, it seems like almost everyone knows who Erin Moriarty is. The talented young actor has become something of a household name thanks to the role of a lifetime as a leading lady on Amazon Prime's The Boys. For a long time, that's going to be what she's most known and remembered for.

However, her career goes back just about a decade, with her first role coming in 2010. During that time, she has appeared in some of the most well-known and well-received television series in recent memory and starred alongside big names as part of her blossoming movie career.

10 The Miracle Season (6.5)

Erin Moriarty was given her first shot to really shine as a lead actor with The Miracle Season. Released in 2018 and grossing a surprising $10.2 million at the box office, this film ended up being something of a success and it showed that Moriarty had acting chops.

The Miracle Season tells the true story of the Iowa City West High School volleyball team after the death of their leader Caroline. Moriarty portrays Kelley Fliehler, the best friend of Caroline. The supporting cast includes veterans Helen Hunt and William Hurt.

9 Red Widow (6.6)

For those who got to see it, this might actually be considered the breakout role for Erin Moriarty. To this point, she had only small roles but on Red Widow she was one of the main characters. The 2013 ABC series aired an eight-episode first season before being canceled.

The premise saw a North Carolina widow (Radha Mitchell) take over some of her husband's criminal activities after he's gone. Moriarty scored the role of Natalie Walraven, the daughter of the protagonist. The show was praised for the lofty aspirations it attempted to pull off.

8 Kong: Skull Island (6.6)

Plenty of people are sure to go back and watch 2017's Kong: Skull Island again soon with the highly-anticipated Godzilla vs. Kong set to arrive in 2021. This film follows a group of scientists who head to a remote island after the Vietnam War to meet Kong, a massive ape.

A highlight of the film is the visual effects but the cast also stands out. Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, and more lead the way. Interestingly, Moriarty has an uncredited cameo as a guest at the bar alongside Nick Robinson and Moises Arias, her The Kings of Summer co-stars. Both films were directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts.

7 One Life To Live (6.8)

The first role for Erin Moriarty came in 2010 when she nabbed a role on the popular soap-opera One Life to Live. The show managed to remain on the air from 1968 until 2013 and featured over 3,500 episodes in total.

Back in 2010, Moriarty appeared as a character named Whitney Bennett. Her role lasted a grand total of six episodes and she was only a teenager during this time. The role didn't make an impact on the show but it helped propel her career going forward.

6 The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir (6.9)

The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir hit theaters in 2018 in France before getting a worldwide release the following year. Erin Moriarty plays Marie Rivière, a woman who Ajatashatru "Aja" Lavash Patel swindles and is attracted to.

Aja (Dhanush) is the protagonist, a trickster who uses street magic. The film focuses on his attempt to find the whereabouts of his estranged father, only to get distracted along the way and end up on some wacky adventures. Though a box office failure, it was well-received.

5 The Kings Of Summer (7.1)

If you weren't someone who watched Red Widow, then you most likely first noticed the talents of Erin Moriarty in The Kings of Summer. Released in 2013, this was one of the high points of the Sundance Film Festival, though it was titled Toy's House at the time.

The story follows Joe (Nick Robinson) and his friends who spend their summer building a house in the woods to live away from their families. The stellar supporting cast features Nick Offerman and Alison Brie. Moriarty plays Kelly, Joe's crush who comes to see the house and ultimately tells Joe's dad what's going on.

4 Captain Fantastic (7.9)

Another movie that had its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, Captain Fantastic did so in 2016. This was met with widespread acclaim, including Golden Globe, Academy Award, and BAFTA nominations for the performance of the incredible lead actor, Viggo Mortensen.

Mortensen portrays Ben Cash, a father who lives in the wilderness with his children but they're forced to return to civilization after the mother passes away. Moriarty has a small role as Claire McCune, a girl who forms a bond with one of Ben's sons and teaches him a bit about the real world.

3 Jessica Jones (7.9)

Her major role on Amazon Prime's The Boys was not Erin Moriarty's first foray into a superhero story. That actually came back in 2015 when she was part of the first season of Netflix's Jessica Jones, which was part of the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The series centers on a former superhero who solves cases as a private investigator while dealing with PTSD. Moriarty has an important role as Hope Shlottman, an innocent college student who is forced into violent acts while mind-controlled by the villainous Kilgrave.

2 The Boys (8.7)

After mentioning it several times, it's finally here. Premiering in 2019, The Boys is Amazon Prime's surprise massive hit that features Erin Moriarty's greatest and biggest role to date. She plays Annie January, better known as the superhero named Starlight, the most important female character in the series.

The show is set in a world where superheroes are treated like celebrities, except most of them are secretly terrible people who commit the most disgusting of acts. Thankfully, Starlight is one of the few who is inherently a good personThe Boys gets praised for everything including character development, action, social commentary, shock value, plot twists, and so much more.

1 True Detective (9.0)

Here's one that most likely comes as a surprise. Yet again, Erin Moriarty plays a character on one of the most impressive shows of the past decade. HBO's True Detective premiered in 2014 and is an anthology series where every season tells its own story featuring different detectives.

Season two was a mixed bag but the first and third seasons were critically acclaimed. In that first season, which was led by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, Moriarty had a role as Audrey Hart, the daughter of Harrelson's character, for three episodes.
