Some 90 Day Fiancé couples arouse suspicion from the start, leading fans to wonder if the foreign fiancé only wants a green card. That is definitely not the case for season 2 couple Danny and Amy Frishmuth, an OG 90 Day Fiancé couple that fans were rooting for from the get go. After a rocky start to the relationship, Danny and Amy have become one of the franchise’s most endearing couples. The pair have been building their family in the years since their season, and most recently have welcomed a new member into the fold.
Danny and Amy met in Australia on a Bible study trip and the couple quickly fell in love and got engaged. Danny uprooted her life in South Africa, and the 19-year-old came to America on a K-1 visa to join her 21-year-old fiancé Danny in Pennsylvania. The young couple had a rough 90 days. Because of their religious devotion, Danny and Amy were committed to remaining abstinent until marriage—they decided not to sleep in the same until they were married and refrained from passionate kissing to avoid temptation. There was additional tension stemming from Danny’s father, who didn’t believe in mixed race marriages. Despite having the deck stacked against them, Danny and Amy made it down the altar and have since been living happily ever after.
Since their season, Danny and Amy have had two children, Jed and Anna, and last year the couple announced they were expecting their third child. The new baby was revealed to be a girl, and in a heartfelt Instagram post, Amy reflected on how it has been watching Danny be a father. “My dad passed away just before I turned 2, in many ways watching Danny father has been redeeming for me & to be able to see first hand all the daddy-daughter moments between them is something I’ll forever treasure!” she commented. This week, in the wee hours of the morning, Amy finally gave birth to her and Danny’s second daughter Willow.
The adorable bundle of joy has already made her social media debut and has drawn scores of likes and heart-eye emojis from fans across the world. Some were wondering when Amy’s mother, who lives in South Africa, will be able to see her new granddaughter, but Amy revealed that her mother had been visiting at the end of her pregnancy and she extended her trip to be there for the birth. The Frishmuth family seems overjoyed to meet baby Willow, and Amy hasn’t been shy about the “baby spam” that’s sure to be all over her social media in the coming months.
It’s always heartwarming to follow a couple’s journey on 90 Day Fiancé and then see them make it in the real world. Though Danny and Amy were young when they got married, the couple has proved their maturity as their relationship stands the test of time, and fans are quick to send their love to the growing family. Congratulations to the Frishmuths on their new little girl.
