9 The Boss Baby: Family Business - September 17th

The film's name suggests what it is all about: babies, babies, and... more babies! Brothers Theo and Tim Templeton, who have grown up big time since their 2017 crusade in The Boss Baby, reunite when Theo's youngest daughter reveals that she works as a field agent for BabyCorp. This prompts the trio to work together, again, to save baby-kind. Their goal is to bring down a nefarious plot that’s creating evil babies. Initially, the movie was supposed to be released in March but it was postponed to the fall.
8 Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway - January 15th
About to be shown to theater audiences in the USA and Canada in a few days is Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway animated film. A fun sequel to the 2018 movie Peter Rabbit, viewers follow the story of characters Thomas and Bea, who are now married and living with Peter and his rabbit family. But despite his best efforts, Peter can't seem to get over his boring life in the garden and decides to escape to the big city, where he finds himself in a world where his misbehavior is appreciated.
He ends up creating chaos for the whole family and, ultimately, Peter has to figure out what kind of bunny he wants to be.
7 Rumble - May 14th
Rumble is one of the many movie releases that was delayed by COVID-19. But it finally has a launch date and fans can't wait to see this final result. Made by Paramount Pictures, the animated picture presents Winnie, a passionate trainer living in the world of monster-wrestling, who tries to make a champion out of a lazy, uninspired monster named Steve. A brilliant treat for younger audiences, Rumble has been applauded as one of the most anticipated animated movies of this year. Not surprisingly, wrestle superheroes' journeys delight fans almost every single time so this animated version promises to be just as engaging.
6 The Addams Family 2 - October 8th
The animated sequel The Addams Family 2 is the second installment of the widely acclaimed 2019 original The Addams Family. Released in theaters just in time for Halloween, it is predicted to be a creepier, spookier, and funnier film than its predecessor. One of the most exciting things about this movie is the participation of actor Bill Hader in the voice cast, portraying a character called Cyrus. 5 Sing 2 - December 22nd
2021 seems to be filled with sequels that hope to surpass their widely successful original versions. The same case happens with the Sing 2 movie, which is being released after the tremendous 2016 popular children’s film Sing. With an amazing voice cast and a quirky story theme that promises to keep fans hooked, this time around viewers will see Buster Moon and his friends trying to persuade reclusive rock star Clay Calloway to join them for the opening of a new show. Set to be distributed at the beginning of the Summer is Luca. Another American production, this time made by Pixar Studios, it tells the story of one young boy named Luca who experiences an amazing summer filled with gelato, pasta, and infinite scooter rides. But not everything is perfect as Luca finds out that a dark secret about his newfound friend, Alberto: his friend's real identity is as a sea monster. Featuring Pixar's classic animation style, the film goes on in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera. Luca has a charming and captivating storyline. Teasers on other movies have been shown that anticipate what this motion picture will be all about.
3 Minions: The Rise Of Gru - July 2nd
The Minions comedy saga has been considered one of the most successful animated franchises ever made. It started off in 2015 when the first movie was premiered and every sequel that has been made (later renamed to Despicable Me) comes off better than the previous one. Now, the spin-off sequel entitled Minions: The Rise Of Gru will be a new release next summer and it will try to surpass the sensational box office results ($1.1 billion dollars worldwide) of its original one. Dreamworks is the company behind the cultural phenomenon that produced these little cute yellow characters. The new film will surely be filled with many ridiculous goofy jokes as viewers will watch the story of a 12-year-old’s dream to become the world’s greatest supervillain.
2 Pinocchio - December 25th
At the end of the year, fans will be gifted a very special Christmas present: the release of a darker version of the classic children's fairy tale Pinocchio. A stop-motion musical written and directed by the one and only Guillermo del Toro, this piece will chronicle the famous wooden puppet's transformation into a real living boy. But this retelling includes twisted elements such as revealing a Pinocchio that comes to life only to become an evil child who creates mischief and plays mean tricks.
It stars A-list actors like Ewan McGregor as the "Cricket," David Bradley as "Gepetto," and Tilda Swinton as the "Fairy with Turquoise Hair."
