Among Us Recreated In Rocket League By Professional Player

One professional Rocket League custom map designer is working to recreate Among Us in the popular car soccer title. While Among Us may be a social deduction game that has little to nothing to do with soccer or cars, one player is working to merge Among Us and Rocket League to make the murder mystery motorsports game no one knew they needed.

Among Us is a social deduction game from independent developers Inner Sloth where players work together to sleuth out who among them is the Impostor. While it was released back in 2018, Among Us did not gain the massive player base it has today until this year. Rocket League, on the other hand, was released in 2015 and saw instant success. Rocket League has continued to grow in popularity since its release and has grown substantially since relaunching as a free to play title earlier this year.

Since its rise to fame, many gamers have attempted to recreate Among Us in different video games, but Rocket League is the crossover no one saw coming. Professional Rocket League player and streamer Lethamyr has been working to recreate Among Us in Rocket League. Though he isn't finished yet, Lethamyr has been building the map and its assets on his Twitch stream and has been giving progress updates via Twitter.

Lethamyr is recreating The Skeld, which is one of Among Us' most popular maps, and he claims that the Impostor and crewmate cars will behave exactly as they do in Among Us. It will be interesting to see how a car completes tasks or kills another car. Players can already blow each other up by running into one another at max speed, but that doesn't sound feasible in Among Us' tight corridors. Hopefully, Lethamyr will have a playable version soon so gamers can play out their unlikely dreams as car detectives.

With Among Us now being recreated in Rocket League, the question for gamers is less which games can be turned into Among Us tributes and more which games can't. Fortnite, Minecraft, and even Animal Crossing have had the honor of being turned into Among Us already. While none play as smoothly as the original, and some require strict cooperation from other players, there is still a novelty to being able to play a game inside a game. It might not be long until Among Us is reborn in the world of Rocket League, and cars can murder cars without a care in the world.
