The Capricorn sign is a very responsible sign. People born under this sign make great leaders and managers because they believe in following the rules and living an organized, successful life. This sign also values family greatly and will do just about anything for the ones they love.
When a Capricorn isn't working, they love to bring the family together for a movie night. For the Capricorns looking for a good cry at the next movie night, here are a few titles to put on your watch list, and a couple of others to take off that list if they're on there.
10 Cry: The Family Stone (2005)
For anyone let values their family, especially the Capricorn sign, this movie will leave you in tears by the time it's over. The Family Stone, stars Diane Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Dermot Mulroney.
It tells the story of a typical American family, gathering for the holidays. At first, the family seems a little hectic, but the dysfunction is charming and they all come together when they are given some devastating news about their mother.
9 Not: The Notebook (2005)
This film isn't going to make a Capricorn cry because it's predictable and a little dated in the sense that everyone knows how this story ends.
People born under the Capricorn will definitely be able to appreciate Allie and Noah's love story and the fact that they stay together and love until the very end, but to a Capricorn, that's the best case scenario for most love stories and not something to cry about.
8 Cry: My Girl (1991)
Capricorns understand and appreciate young love and best friends, probably more than any other sign in the zodiac.
The film My Girl, starring a young Anna Chulmskey and Macauley Culkin, will not only bring back nostalgic memories for Capricorns of growing up and learning life's good and bad lessons, but it will also make them cry when this young friendship comes to a tragic and devastating end too soon.
7 Not: Forrest Gump (1994)
Any Capricorn can appreciate the brilliant filmmaking and storytelling in the critically acclaimed dramatic feature film, Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks as the title character, but it's unlikely this story will make them cry. Forrest leads an incredible, but somewhat lonely life.
He does amazing things and meets wonderful people along the way, but the fact that he quickly moves onto the next thing is something most Capricorns will struggle to understand.
6 Cry: Marriage Story (2019)
Because family is so important to people born under the Capricorn sign, watching a family fall apart is going to be devastating for them to see.
In Noah Baumbach's Marriage Story, Charlie and Nicole are in the middle of a messy divorce and fighting in court for custody of their young son, while at the same time, constantly fighting with each other outside of their court hearings. It's messy and heartbreaking, and something the Capricorn sign will find very tragic.
5 Not: Irreplaceable You (2018)
Irreplaceable You, stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Abbie and Michiel Huisman as Sam. When Abbie is diagnosed with terminal cancer, she makes it her mission to find her fiancé, Sam, a new love to have once she is gone.
Most signs will find this story very sad, but Capricorns won't because they feel so much loyalty to the people they love and will struggle to understand Abbie's motivations in this particular story.
4 Cry: Up (2009)
Pixar's hit animated feature, Up, is one that will leave any Capricorn a sobbing mess, just within the first ten minutes of the film.
In this movie, Carl and Ellie fall in love at a young age, get married, and go through all of the ups and downs of life together. When Ellie passes away, Carl, now an old man, is left by himself. Carl decides to take the adventure he and Ellie always wanted to have and uses thousands of balloons to get there.
3 Not: Room (2015)
The Capricorn sign will love this critically acclaimed feature film, starring Brie Larson, who won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in this film, but it's not a film that will make them cry.
In fact, there's a good chance this suspenseful and heartfelt feature will leave most Capricorns feeling anger for what Brie Larson's character, Ma, goes through and how hard she has to fight to give her son the chance at a normal life.
2 Cry: Still Alice (2014)
Capricorns will have a lot of sympathy for what the family in the dramatic feature film, Still Alice, goes through. This movie, starring Julianne Moore, another actress who won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her work in this film, is about a woman named Alice, who is diagnosed with Alzheimer's shortly after her 50th birthday.
Getting a diagnosis like that at such an early age is devastating for the person and their families, which is made clear through this story.
1 Not: Marley & Me (2008)
This comedy-drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson as a couple who adopt "the worst dog ever" is a fun movie for a Capricorn's family movie night, but it's not one that will bring a tear to any Capricorn's eye.
In the film, Aniston and Wilson's characters get Marley when he's a puppy and stick out all the good and bad times with their crazy dog until the very end, when they have to say goodbye. Of course, that's a sad moment, but Marley lived such a full and happy life, Capricorns will be more attracted the positive, funny moments in this story.
