Big Brother 22: HOH Cody Nominates Keesha & Kevin, Who Goes Home?

Head of Household Cody Calafiore has nominated Keesha Smith and Kevin Campbell for eviction on Big Brother 22: All-Stars, forming the season's very first nomination block. It has been a wild first few days for the BB22 houseguests. During the season's live premiere episode, the All-Stars had to play a Head of Household competition. From the first round, only Christmas, Ian, Kevin, Nicole, Cody, and Memphis advanced to the next phase of the competition. Then, in the last round, the players had to race across pedestals in order to get to the other side of the yard as quickly as possible. Cody's time was 22 seconds, which no one else was able to beat.

At first, Cody alluded to the possibility that he was going to put Janelle Pierzina and Kaysar on the nomination block. However, both Janelle and Kaysar decided to play in the first-ever Safety Suite competition. Essentially, each of the players received a "VIP Access Card" that gives them the chance to compete in the Safety Suite competition one time. The Safety Suite guarantees that you and one player of your choice will be safe for the week. Therefore, the player cannot be nominated by the HOH. Kaysar won the competition and granted safety to his BB6 and BB7 friend Janelle.

The nomination ceremony that aired on the August 9 episode of Big Brother 22: All-Stars took place on Friday, August 7. With Kaysar and Janelle now safe for the week, Cody nominated Keesha and Kevin for eviction. Cody said a few times that he was going to nominate people that he hadn't gotten a chance to speak to, and it's no secret that Keesha and Kevin didn't take a lot of time to talk game with the HOH. However, right before the nomination ceremony, a very nervous and teary-eyed Kevin explained to Cody why he hadn't approached him yet. It was a heavy and emotional conversation, prompting Cody to go by himself to the HOH room in order to process this new information. Nonetheless, he still moved forward with his planned nominations.

Keesha seems to have most of the old-school players on her side. Kaysar and Janelle have discussed trying to protect her, and she seems to have maintained a healthy relationship with Memphis since he betrayed her on Big Brother 10. Moreover, Da'Vonne and Keesha seem to be close before the season and also on it, which indicates that this is yet another person in her favor. Furthermore, there's always the chance that Bayleigh will vote to protect Da'Vonne's friend. When it comes to Kevin, he has maintained a pretty close friendship with Nicole A. Ever since the nominations, Kevin has also had conversations with Tyler and Cody stating that he wants to work with them. While it may seem that Keesha has more people campaigning for her to stay at the moment, the nominees can still try to win the Power of Veto competition or convince whoever wins it to veto their nominations.

Because it's still so early on Big Brother 22: All-Stars, alliances are not yet fully formed. In addition, most houseguests have made it a point to not reveal their alliances right off the bat. Generally, however, there are many players who don't seem to be particularly bothered by or supportive of Keesha and Kevin, making it hard to predict their votes.
