10 Below Deck Med Memes That Perfectly Sum Up This Season

Season five of Below Deck Med. has been a whirlwind of drama and suspense. There has never been another season like it. Fans were pumped that the vessel was led by three strong women but were surprised that Sandy wanted to work with Hannah again. The two rarely see eye to eye. But that was the least of the season’s problems.

Not only was Chef Kiko fired in the middle of the charter but Sandy fired the vessel’s second stew, brought in Bugsy (Hannah’s nemesis), gave a warning to “Party Pete,” hired a new chef, and now it looks like we have a major Malia vs. Hannah situation on our hands! Until the next episode comes out, all we can do is look at memes that describe the season.

10 Malia: The Newest Member Of Narcos

One of the newest storylines of Below Deck Med. was Malia telling Captain Sandy that Hannah had drugs on board. She went through Hannah's things, took a picture of her CBD pen and prescribed Valium and sent the picture of it to Captain Sandy in the middle of the night. What transpired are theories out of the wazoo about what's going to happen to Hannah in the next episode. Does Hannah get fired for having legal anxiety medications onboard? Malia, Sandy, and Hannah have all opened up about the situation and fans are not loving Malia and Sandy's "mean girl" status.

9 Bugsy Sure Does Love Her Accessories

Fans cannot get enough of Bugsy's outfits this season. When she's not dressed in uniform, Bugsy goes hard in the accessory department. Wearing big, chunky necklaces, earrings, hats, and patterned clothes, Bugsy's ensembles are a lot to take in. Some fans love Bugsy's quirky style while others create memes about her taking five off at a time.

8 And We Thought Party Pete Was Bad

Pete Hunziker is this season's deckhand. When he was first introduced this season, fans learned he had a son after a one-night stand with a woman and loves to party. He even calls himself Party Pete. Early on, Pete was getting a bad reputation with Malia after calling "sweetheart" instead of by her name.

He also said some pretty derogatory things to Bugsy when she first came on board. Things got worse for Pete when he posted a vile meme on his Instagram, which was enough for Bravo to re-edit the series to erase Pete as much as they could. Looking back at what we know now, Pete seems like a breeze compared to the storm Malia is bringing.

7 Does Sandy Egg On The Guests For Negative Feedback?

When Below Deck Med. first started, Sandy was a beloved badass. She is an incredible woman doing amazing things for females in the yachting industry. However, season five has tarnished her character. It seems like during every charter she asks the guests specific questions to gather negative feedback so that she can use to reprimand her staff.

As an example, she'll ask the guests if their meals are cold or she'll say "Hmm, what is that?" when she's confused by a dish. This, of course, makes the guests loosen up and give her the criticism she's looking for, which is a tad unfair to the staff.

6 The Fake Donn Cunvalson Chiming In

Bravo fans love it when Bravo shows collide. In this instance, we have a parody Donn Gonvulson account merging Below Deck and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills together. In the RHOBH, whenever Denise Richards finds herself in hot water that she doesn't want to be aired on the show, she screams "Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!"

When this happens, Bravo can't break the fourth wall so they'll edit out what is said. However, in this season of RHOBH, they decided to leave these moments in the show, regardless of breaking the fourth wall. Donn agrees with the rest of the world that Malia went too far with staging this picture of Hannah's things and sending it to Sandy.

5 Sandy & Malia Are Too Close

It's obvious that Sandy and Malia have the utmost respect for one another. They're both incredible women doing amazing things in the yachting industry but it looks like they're turning into mean girls in a pact than civil employees.

Whenever Malia doesn't get her way, she runs to Captain Sandy and complains about it instead of taking control of the situation herself. In the show, she only went to Captain Sandy with Hannah's Valium information after Hannah said she didn't want to switch bunks just so that the couples could room together.

4 Ah, Simpler Times

Lara Flumiani was only in a couple of episodes of Below Deck Med. She was the second stew under Hannah and wasn't used to having a lower role on a vessel. She told the cameras she's been chief stew in the past and she didn't handle Hannah's directions well. In short, she was a monster. She disobeyed everyone's orders and did what she wanted. She eventually quit and left without telling anyone. Every Below Deck fan agreed that she was the antagonist but now it looks like Malia took her spot.

3 Was Sandy Out To Get Kiko From The Start?

Below Deck Med. has had some dramatic chefs in the past, which is why Kiko was such a breath of fresh air. He was friends with everyone, he was optimistic, and he cooked beautifully. However, after a few bad meals, Sandy was after Kiko. Sandy's pressure on Kiko was felt by the staff and it was enough for Kiko to lose it all. After Sandy fired Kiko, the poor chef went to his bunk and sobbed. It was one of the saddest moments in Below Deck Med. history.

2 Pete Is A Total Unit

Before fans realized how derogatory Pete could be, he kept using the word "unit" to describe just about everything. He called himself a unit, he called his friends units, he said it far too often. Him saying "unit" was reminiscent to Mean Girls' Gretchen Wieners trying to make the word "fetch" happen.

1 Kiko Was Unlike The Rest

It's rare to have a chef who respected and worked well with the chief stew. Hannah never got along with the chefs and if she did, it only lasted a day or two. Kiko was the first chef that the world was rooting for. He was talented beyond belief and wanted his crew to succeed. Sadly, Sandy didn't care how nice of a person he was. His vegan- and Las Vegas-themed meals were enough to have him fired.
