After the massive success of Selling Sunset’s season 1, Netflix filmed the next two seasons back to back. That’s why at the end of season 2, viewers got a preview of what’s going to happen next. It looks like Jason Oppenheim, the founder of the Oppenheim Group, has watched season three as one of the screeners because he claims that it is going to be “awkwardly enjoyable.”
Although Jason doesn’t take part in any drama or incite any fights, he still manages to give us exciting content. Remember when he said no to Davina’s Beverly Hills listing of $75 million? The LA-based realtor was just trying to keep up with his business’s reputation, but that escalated quickly and paved the way for more entertaining drama. At one point, Davina started thinking about having her own firm. Well, before the premiere of season two, he teased fans by saying that the season is going to be much more dramatic (meaning more saucy gossip and captivating fights), and the agents will deal with even more massive and expensive listings. All those claims stood right, and now, we have to believe him when he says that the upcoming season is going to be “awkward.”
While talking to OK! Online in an interview, the reality star revealed that things are “back to normal” after the coronavirus pandemic - he has sold the $40 million property, and the rest of the realtors are also doing pretty great. Many Selling Sunset fans would know that its third season is going to air on August 7. While speaking about the screening of the show, he revealed, “Let’s be honest; I’m not really involved in the drama, so for me, when we’re screening at Lionsgate, it’s super fun, and I basically just bring the popcorn. But it’s super stressful for everyone else because you’re reliving all of that tension. It’s so awkwardly enjoyable.” We think it’s going to be awkward for him too as some of his employees talk about leaving the firm. Let’s see how he would deal with the situation if anyone actually decides to put down their papers.
The 43-year-old also added, “I think season three, which comes out in about eight weeks, is going to be even better than season two. We just get to be more ourselves in front of the camera. When the cameras aren’t there, we’re wild, so season one I think we were a little bit more subdued and then season two and three I think we just didn’t care as much. So I can’t even imagine how little we’re going to care about future seasons.” Now, we can’t wait to watch the upcoming season and understand what exactly Davina was implying when she said, “she knows why this happened” about Chrishell’s divorce. Did she mean Chrishell is lying about being blindsided? We are also eager to know how the marriage is going for beautiful Mary and her husband Romain Bonnet, as her ex-boyfriend Jason hints that it’s not all roses for the couple. He said, “Romain steps in it a little bit.”
We really wish that the show gets renewed for another season because we’re not yet done watching those super lavish, million-dollar properties and the tensions between the agents while competing between the cutthroat real estate market of Los Angeles.
Selling Sunset season 3 premieres on Netflix on Aug. 7.
