Captain America Returns To His 'Tiny Steve' Form in New Comic

Warning! Spoilers for Tech-On Avengers #1 below

Red Skull just used the Infinity Stones to turn Captain America back into his 'tiny Steve' form. In the first issue of Tech-On Avengers from Marvel Comics, the supervillain used the remnants of the powerful gems to take away the powers of the Avengers. In the process, Steve Rogers transforms from a peak physical specimen to the skinny man he was before being injected with the Super-Soldier serum.

Captain America's origin is one of the best in comics. Despite his scrawny physique, Steve Rogers tried to enlist as a soldier during World War II to fight the Nazis. However, his heart and determination made him the perfect candidate for the Super-Soldier program. The Super-Soldier serum gave him super strength, durability, and more powers, turning him into the hero he is today. But, in the new Tech-On Avengers #1 series, the Red Skull just reversed the effects that gave Captain America powers - turning him back into his old self.

In Tech-On Avengers #1 by Jim Zub, Jeff "Chamba" Cruz, and VC's Travis Lanham, the Avengers accomplish their most challenging mission yet and defeat Thanos while destroying the Infinity Stones. But, despite believing the Stones and their powers were gone forever, the Red Skull attacks them and reveals he's used the remaining dust from the gems to create the Infinity Mirror Shards. While he can't snap half of reality from existence, Red Skull can get rid of the Avengers powers, which reverts Captain America to his 'tiny Steve' form.

It's quite a shocking scene to see Captain America fall to the ground as his costume becomes massive on his skinny frame. Red Skull taunts his new appearance while telling his longtime enemy that "it's most satisfying to watch you humiliated." Unfortunately, all Steve Rogers can do is watch as his fellow Marvel heroes get depowered as well. Steve doesn't even get the worse of the transformations, as Wolverine nearly dies thanks to losing his healing factor and the adamantium weighing heavy inside his body.

Even without his superpowers, Steve Rogers is a hero that few others compare to. While he might not have his super strength, he will use his resolve and intelligence to figure out a way to stop Red Skull and gain his powers back. Until that happens, Captain America will use his own custom Iron Man mech to fight against the villain. 'Tiny Steve' is back, but Captain America will continue to fight despite being depoweredTech-On Avengers #1 is in comic book stores now.
